Given Stoke City's usual tactics of using Tall C/F's and pumping high balls in to opposition areas do you think it might be possible that PDC could be tempted if he is fully match fit to give Kader Mangane a starting role at the back instead of O'Shea or Quellar to combat any arial threats next Monday?
Can't do any worse than Cuellar did last night, worst cb performance I've seen since the likes of Gary Been and Phil Babb. Cuellar's confidence will be shot to pieces and we can't afford to be carrying players in a game we need to win.
I would like Mangane to play however Cuellar has been steady in most games. No way am I defending him here, cos last night he was f*cking awful, but personally felt he tried to help out he's old teammates last night.
Ceullar can play very well, brilliant defender at times and then I wonder if he's ever played a game of football before
It'll be easier for him to kick Crouchy in the face. Everyone knows Crouchy loves a kick in the face.
Bardsley should be dropped also, very poor performance even by his standards - give Colbeck a go. If Sess does not get ban lifted the hopefully Whickham is fit, play him up front and Graham just off him, otherwise.................
I think if Wickham is not fit then giving McClean a chance behind the striker is worth a go, then stick Colback and Rose down the left. I would play Cuellar at RB and Bramble or Mangane in the middle (this would give us height at the back). If Wickham is fit then that also gives us height at set pieces.
For all Cuellar had a mare last night he is normally relaiable, Stoke have no-one to match Agbonlaha's speed so he can start for me.
Unless Titus has been ripping up trees in training I can't see him being in given that he hasn't even made it to the bench the last three games. Mangane in for Bardsley with Cuellar going to RB might be a shout. Stoke are not known for their tricky wingers and it gives us plenty of height in the box which is what we'll need.
