been looking around sites over the past hour and have found 3 different articles on 3 seperate sites talking about pardew on the brink of being let go by newcastle/

i brought you a story of farse about martin o'neil becoming newcastle manager a couple of days ago but now ive found this article -

    http://www.newcastleunited-mad.co.u...ng_very_precarious_at_toon_679406/index.shtml

and it makes you think do they know something you dont?

i know its probably just speculation but will pardew want to leave if barton, nolan and enrique dont sign new contracts even though he is very lucky and has done very little to deserve to be newcastle manager.

what do you think or is this the usual wild speculation?

my view is that id rather have o'neil in charge and get 50m to spend then have pardew and get 30m to spend, is manager stability important?

    cheers

Nothing but tabloid **** stirring, why would they sack someone who they've not long ago gave a 5 year contract and finished in a comfortable position in the league.
Had we just scraped through to stay in the leagu then I'd understand it, but no lazy Journo's.

We know fat mike doesn't like parting with more money than he has to.

I'd rather Ashley ****ed off with the £50m and gave us our club back.

    This.

And no, considering Pardew has like 4.5 years on his contract still it would cost a lot just to let him go.
Plus there's no reason to sack him is there? Not yet anyway (In my eyes, or in Ashley's)

I hear that Mike has been investing heavily into Artificial Intelligence and he's almost ready to release his prototype robot manager.

It's working title is: 'Computerised. Unit. Newcastle. Trainee' or **** for short.

Here's a snap shot of it in recent trials:

Alan Pardew is very unlikely to be sacked and he will certainly not quit! He's on a nice fat contract and will no doubt see at least most of it through.
It doesn't matter who leaves, it wont make Pardew sad - look at the Carroll situation, he kept saying Carroll was not going to leave etc and that Newcastle United had to "keep the best ones otherwise there's no point" and he hasn't batted an eye-lid.

    Non-story.

Mike Ashley will not sack Pardew, why would he? and Pardew certainly won't quit.

Pardew is Ashley's man. He says all the right things to the fans and media, thus keeping the fans off Ashley's back. The team has had a very good season with very little money being spent. Ashley must be a very happy man.

Pardew would have killed to get the Newcastle job and I very much doubt that he would walk away from it.

Depends why he quits? If he does a Keegan he'll get a handy payout. If he gets sacked he'll get his contract paid up.

I'd like to think he'll stay. Whilst the majority of us fans were extremely underwhelmed by his appointment he's not done a bad job. He kept us up, he's kept the squad harmony and he seems to care about the club.

If his targets are to be believed it would mark an exciting time for the club.

I agree that he has done a good job under difficult circumstances.

Non story. Speculation like this is what gives us our bad rep for being fickle and/or deluded. I know it is a slow time on the real news front at the moment but this is media crap of the worst kind.

The only way he could "do a Keegan" is if he left because he felt the owner undermined him to the point where he couldn't adequately perform his job (constructive dismissal) and then take NUFC to a tribunal etc etc but there's no chance of that happening now Wise isn't here and Pardew seems to be having the major say in our transfer targets.

Personally I don't think there's any substance to the rumours. It will cost Ashley a bomb to get rid of him less than 6 months into a 5/6 year deal (can't remember which it is right now!) and as mentioned above it's arguably the biggest job Pardew's had which it seems like he's really up for!

    He's 6 months in to a 5 1/2 year deal.

You could argue if the likes of Barton, Nolan, Tiote were sold and Pards was legitimately unhappy he would have a case!

True true, but if that happened then I think here would be a full-scale revolt and paying Pardew off would probably be the least of MA's worries!

    Yeah true.

The ball is well and truely in Ashley's court. If he's given Pards that length of contract he HAS to back him. With the clubs aim to be in Europe by 2014 there is time to rebuild, invest in the future without silly, over inflated puchases ala Shephard.
