He's still got age on his side, and if he gets back to the form we know he's got then maybes yeah. It's getting harder for him now though with the emergence of Zaha, Ox and Sterling who all can play either wing.
Chamberlain has not had a better season than Johnson, yet he manages to start. Not to say that Johnson deserves a place in the England squad, certainly not. Definitely double standards. If Johnson had the same season he had for us at a top 4 team he'd be in the squad. No doubt.
Yes, I think he will. As Teeside said, it's tough competition on the wings, but I think he can get back in ahead of Young/Downing if he plays well next season... And before Sterling/Zaha start starting. Partly depends on how Roy wants to play though, because Welbeck and Sturridge can both fill in on the wings as well. Hopefully AJ will have a blistering season next year and give Roy no choice but to pick him
Next season he might struggle to get in our team never mind englands! He was disappointing last season tbh like...
He seems to like playing Wellbeck on the left. Walcotts starting to make the right more or less his own now and then you've got Milner who Hodgson played on the right in the Euros. Jonno needs a very good season next year before he becomes a forgotten man. Players like Dyer and Routledge have probably moved in front of him in the pecking order now!
he needs to put in a shift for his parent club first on a regular basis, then if he does knowing our fortune he will probably get crocked
Yeh that's true furthermore he has to start playing well for us first before he can even think about England
This!! He plays for Sunderland in the North of the country Last few games of the season I thought he looked in good form - playing well - but, the underlying thing is,. playing in thre North East
