I'm wondering if Fergie will continue to influence refs from his new position: maybe even moreso.

Anyway, hoping for a more level fair playing field this season!

    wouldnt bet on it
the establishment and media love manu so think they will benefit from some favourable decisions over the season

But then a lot of the struggling clubs will say that we will get a fair few
I would be more worrried about unfavourable decisions if i was a Hull Palace or Cardiff fan
at the end of the day lets hope it doesnt influence the final outcome

How else will we win the league? SAF can donate all his time to this one role now. Maybe we can finally get Champions League ref's onside now by sending Fergie in first

Stupid topic, but Terry was fouled anyway. It would have been a free kick to us. Nothing to feel aggrieved by. Good refereeing. <ok>

Now repeat 100 times... "Ivanovic didn't smack Benteke in the face and wasn't offside....Ivanovic didn't smack Benteke in the face and wasn't offside...." :)

Offside yeah. The possibility of a red for Ivan on Benteke would have been harsh.

Taylor was sent off for something very similar with Aguero.

Ball to hand would have been an injustice if Terry had been penalised for accidental handling. Thought the referee had a reasonable game all in all, Ivanovich was marginally offside for the winner but Lino's are told to give the advantage to the attacking team so one can see why it was allowed to stand.

That was true. Are you saying the Villa player wasn't pulling Terry? Complete dick if you are.
