Bearing in mind, you only have to take a look at the major SAFC forums to observe that there is a complete division between the fans already. What impact will MON going ahead have upon the atmosphere amongst the fans during matchday? What impact will grahams appearance on the training pitch have upon the mentality of other squad members, bearing in mind that most of the players will be aware that over half of the fans don't want him at the club? What impact will occur in the minds of the fans and players if graham screws up during the derby, assuming he isnt 'injured'? Is MON not able to determine that by having to go public to try and convince the fans of SAFC that a particular recruit can be a success is in itself an admittence of a potentially highly unsavoury future? Why take such a risk on such an average player? There are many more players out there who could come in without any questions surrounding their commitment to the cause, so why take such a massive risk? MON is taking a risk that quite simply doesnt need to be taken. Will MON review his position and listen to the fans? Will MON realise that the risk to reward ratio is far to slim to uphold his willingness to recruit this player, a player who has openly stated he would rather support ANY team except SAFC if newcastle didn't exist? Will common sense and commitment to the cause of red and white purity prevail? Or will MON make the biggest mistake of his managerial career to date?
Neither do i acs, reports last night were saying fee agreed, personal terms agreed subject to medical which he would pass! Tabloids all over it, reckon marty is backing off the idea, reckon its on the back burner tbh Edit - just realised its that idiot off last night! End of thread! Catch you in a bit acs
I'd say its inevitable. Unless Norwich are offering more money/wages (not likely) or the mags come in for him (possible). Martin won't be swayed by a fans forum in any shape or form. Mind, the player himself may well be monitoring social networks to gauge opinions?
