I thought you guys would get 4th the way you've been playing recently but not so sure now.

Will Kenny stay/be retained next season?

Hopefully not. The novelty has run out for me now. He either needs to catch up with the 21st century or hand his job over to another man.

Its impossible to judge now. Have to wait until the season is over.

How very fickle you are! If we win our next 2 games are we in with a shout again?

We are through to a cu final, still in the FA cup, and still have a chance of 4th.

But even if we dont get 4th, every manager needs time to build success.

As is almost always the case a Liverpool manager will be given time.

Its not impossible for us to be 4th in 2 games. Unlikely, but not impossible.

I couldnt see any manager doing any better.

Agreed <ok> It's easy to forget how competitive the league is at the moment too. Sunderland in good form, Swansea playing great football. and if results stay how they are, Newcastle could be fourth by tonight! Still plenty of games left to play and until it's mathematically impossible I'll always be optimistic <ok>

I think 4th is essential, but maybe if we win a cup or two, he might be safe.

I don't like what I am seeing, not one little bit, but without spending each and every day at Melwood, I can't say if it is Kenny's fault, so I won't be calling for him or anyone else,(well, maybe Downing) to be sacked/sold.

    Key games:

    All todays games.

    LFC v Arsenal 3rd March
    Newcastle v LFC 1 April
    LFC v Chelsea 5 May
    Arsenal v Spurs 26 Feb
    Arsenal v Newcastle 12 March
Arsenal v Man City 7 April
    Arsenal v Chelsea 21 April
    Chelsea v Spurs 21 March
    Chelsea v Newcastle 14 April
    Newcastle v Sunderland 4th March

So many massive games still to come.

Arsenal and Chelsea also have Champions League putting extra pressure on their squad.

One thing we know is that 4th place race will be nip and tuck. We (Arsenal) were 7th last week, now look reasonable to finsh 4th come tonight. But I wouldn't bet on us keeping hold of it all the way through.

I reckon for LFC Carling Cup, and probably the FA Cup will represent a solid place to build from, even if you miss out of 4th, but I don't think it's a foregone conclusion that you will miss it.

{erhaps the disappointment from LFC fans is more a reflection of the money spent. If that money hadn't been spent, would you have been as high as you are and in the mix for 2 cups.

The only guy I really remember some fans calling for was Villa Boas. Look how he is doing. Only 4 points above us, with a team that finished 2nd last season.

Mourinho might just fancy the job. Hope that doesn't happen though, I'm pleased with Queen Kenny making a balls up of things <laugh>

Imagine if Man U sacked SAF after his first few seasons (5?). Admittedly we're not quite as bad as Man U were when SAF took over, but the parallel can't be that dissimilar. I'd be outraged, as an LFC fan, if KK goes after just 1 season. Give him 2 more and no LFC fan will want him gone.

Mourhino usually goes to money. He makes a team perform whilst he's there and then leaves. The left club, meanwhile, usually hit a slump. Chelsea? Inter? Wouldn't want that. Build for the long term not the short.
