Hernandez "I liked the goal of the Negrito (Omar Esparza), I think it's a sign that the youth of Chivas is in good hands"

    You are being really stupid.

Until Hernandez joined United he had probably never spoken to Evra. So when he used the term IT WAS IN ENGLAND.

Will Hernandez be charged with racism by the FA?

For comments he made to the Mexican media in 2007?

Signs of desperation from 'pool fans there methinks.

Erm, he used the term in 2007 and wasn't talking about Evra...

No, cos German's aren't a race. But keep scraping that barrel if it makes you feel better <ok>

Wake up swarbs. It is claimed that Hernandez commonly uses the term IN ENGLAND and in relation to Evra along with De Gea. So no barrel scraping there - I'll leave that to you.

And Germanic is a racial description, technnically it is debatable, now, back to my barrel scraping:)

It really is all handbags at 12 paces, they should just go for a fkn pint and have a punchup afterwards:)

    Claimed by who?

And as has been pointed out before, black people and their friends often call each other racist terms. People who they don't know don't have the same privilege. It's like making "your mum" jokes - we used to make them as a group all together down the pub, but if someone we didn't know made the same joke they'd have needed an ambulance home.

German is a nationalist description and the German nationality includes any number of races. But we've had that debate before ;)

Agree with the handbags, but still think Suarez would have saved himself a whole lot of hassle if he'd just explained after the match that he didn't mean it in a racist context.

I also think Evra knows Suarez was not using the term in that context, Suarez pissed Evra off and this is pay back, it is too far imo

Well, getting a bit deep here, but technically racism is any offensive behaviour or language that is based in the victim's race. And the Stephen Lawrence inquiry defined racism as any behaviour "which is perceived to be racist by the victim or any other person". Which obviously leaves a lot of leeway and subjectivity, with the extent to which something is seen as racist is dependent on the subject's interpretation of the situation. Hence, legally in the UK, Hernandez could use on term and not be racist, but Suarez could use the same term and be racist.

    Go figure ;)

it would be good for football if these two met and sorted it out. They should show us they can actually be men and not the snivelling little worms we all think they are.

Suarez Evra, Terry all of em.

I guess only Evra and Suarez know whether that's true or not, and what context it was actually being used in...

Probably better if they'd actually done it after the game, but then that didn't work for Terry, and anyway that horse has long gone now.

He could, this is running around in a loop Swarbs. It would be hard to hide a hatred for another race, thats racism, not ignorance which is the majority of it. Legally if Evra is called that by team mates and Suarez uses it, he aint gonna get done byany sane judge I reckon

It was claimed by Suarez that he used a phrase used by Evra's teamates. Now either he was told that by a United player OR he heared it used on the pitch.

There is a world of difference between what is acceptable and what is legal. I have my this point continually throughout this whole debacle. What underpins the law is the intent of the words, symbols, actions, etc. The law does not recognise any exclusivity. Having sad that I do agree - you can call me what you want but say anything against my Mother and you're dead!

The really sad thing is that common sense says "bang their heads together and give them both a good talking too" but common sense appears to be in very short supply.
