Here we go! The race is on. Every pundit and every fan it seems want to pile the pressure on David Moyes as the manager of United, the champions. I think the pressure to deliver should be greater on the likes of Mourinho and Pellegrini. Both are at clubs where the owners finance new acquisitions with almost no budget limit or salary cap. They also expect quite rightly the managers to deliver the title and other trophies. I recall Fergie taking quite a few years to get into the club. He said that it was only after 3-4 years that he felt he understood what it meant to manage United. And when he got his first title, there was no stopping him. Moyes may well have inherited the champions. But no one in english football history has ever taken over the champions and retained the title. If he does that, he will be the first one to do so. A historical achievement.
That's true but rarely do managers leave after the winning the title, it seems the only way to stay in a job with a top team is to have continued success. He will need time anyway and the fans can help give him that.
Errr, Cecil Potter, Joe Shaw, Joe ***an? Three off the top of my head. Seriously mate, you're just asking for people to pull the old 'football didn't start in 1992' crap out of the hat again...
Football didn't start in 1992 **** sake Fistian - if you're going to start a thread get your FACKTS right FFS
Personal insults?? The F is near the C on the keyboard - a slip of the finger mate Anyway Swarbs when the **** did you turn into Hitler? You nob
My mod power has finally gone to my head. I figured it was better to go mad with power, than to go mad without it
Ehh..these are people already part of the old management team and I wasnt thinking of going back that far
Don't lie - you wanna be supermod, and decided to flex some muscle to impress the dodgy Maltese fella. You go girl
Drogsh1t is a ****ing chav plastic with no knowledge of football. That is why he resorts to insults..
Eh? Cecil Potter was manager of Derby before he joined Huddersfield. Fair point about Shaw and ***an tho'. And if you weren't planning on going back that far you probably shouldn't have said in English football history. Tis true that Moyes would be the first in almost 90 years to come into a completely new club and retain the title, tho' let's not get ahead of ourselves! Actually I'm trying to impress Minxy. She loves it when I flex. I guess.
We all know that true football started with the premiership when United started their overwhelming dominance of English football
