http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/fo...s-League-squad-limit-breaching-FFP-rules.html If they are limited to 13 non local players in their CL A squad, that rotates their other non locals into Prem games. So they'll be fielding their best XIs in the premiership not Group CL games. We'll need to dominate from matchday 1 next season
Will the £50m fine be taken into account when their books are checked for FFP in the future? Big dent in money for transfers
So if they want to use all 3 subs they'll need to use 1 local player Could the punishment be any more meaningless?
Think it through. If they have three injuries, they'll have to use two local players. They can't use those 13 players for all six group games and Prem games at the weekend
Wow, a massive injury crisis would mean 2 homegrown players. City were already averaging 2 homegrown players per group game this season anyway.
A City statement said that they only fielded 21 players in the Champions League this season, were not planning to spend a net amount of more than £49m on players this summer and expected their wage bill to be lower next season anyway. http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/27445475
Not at all, this doe`s not only impact the CL, it impacts on how much they spend overall and so if they wish to improve their squad for the Premiership they will have to be very careful how much they pay for players and more importantly what wage they offer them, making them less competative in the market.
