Imagine the situation, it is 3-3 in the 90minute between Liverpool and Newcastle.

Andy Carroll has broken through the newcastle defence he is one on one with the keeper, a golden opportunity to win the game, however will he either

A, slam it home past Tim Krul to win the game showing that his affliation with Newcastle is over and go off celebrating wildly and become an even more hated figure in Newcastle

B, he couldn't bare scoring against his childhood club in such an important game and adopt the michael chopra tactic where despite he is clean through to score, he tries to be a team player and pass it to another teammate and fluff the pass and the opportunity is gone.

I do not remember this! Did he do it against us in the CC season?

Answering your question: there is no chance he would choose B as he knows we wouldn't praise him for his deed, we would bring Anfield down laughing.

C - he'll attempt to smash it in but krul will casually put one arm out to stop it, causing carroll to cry out "what?!?! how?!!??! NOOOOOO!" and collapse in a shuddering heap on the edge of the box. as the final whistle blows carroll can be seen ripping his shirt off hulk hogan style and screaming to the heavens whilst on his knees (i'm going to go ahead and assume it's raining at this point too). he'll stay in the centre circle like this long after the players are in the dressing room and all the fans have left the empty stadium to him, gently weeping by now.

  5. Just because he would score against us, doesn't mean he doesn't love Newcastle anymore. What a crock of ****.

Shearer scored goals against us and celebrated them.

I would do the same if I was playing against Newcastle because I have a career and need to score goals to get it going. I would be celebrating because I scored a goal, simple as.

D - Carroll with play alright, but won't score - denied by a few good Krul saves and the media will continue with the stories questioning his ability. And Fernando Torres.

<laugh> this is pretty much exactly the events that followed after I saw us concede the 3rd goal against WBA.

I think he certainly could be another Chopra in that he showed a lot of early potential but went on to be a Championship standard striker. I still love the Michael Ricketts/Carroll joke.

It was in the season we went down during the 1-1 draw with the Mackems. Think Colo made a mistake and put Chopra through on goal, but instead of shooting he put a horrific cross in to Jones which didn't go near him.

I also remember Bassong crunching Jones in the same game.
