At least its distinctive but take off the giant reptile head and - again - it looks exactly like all the other stadia being built in the current trend. They're effin boring.
I just checked and apparently their nickname is the “Green Crocodiles,” hence the new stadium design.
Crocodiles aren't actually green, they're grey or brown, sometimes almost black, though there is the odd amber and black one... please log in to view this image
Oh come on. If you asked anyone in the world* to draw a crocodile they'd colour it green in the same way they'd colour the sea blue. *bar Stevie Wonder.
I remember Ian Wright being interviewed on the radio in his Arsenal days and being asked about something Pleat had said (I think it was during his brief second spell in charge of Spurs). Even though it was several years after that kerb-crawling incident and almost everyone had forgotten it, Wrighty hadn't - he simply said "Who cares what that perv thinks?" He went up in my estimation that day.
Now I may be opening a can or worms here but..... Ian Wright being on tv - there is an example of positive discrimination if ever I saw one. He was appalling in front of a camera when he first finished football and he is now. At the 2006 World Cup Leonardo gave better insight in his third language than Wright did.
I don't mind Wrighty, particularly for England games, at least he's got passion and a sense of humour.
I think he's absolutely appalling. The worst of the very worst. But even taking aside if you like his punditry, surely nobody - not even his wife - could think he was good on Friends Like These? Seriously, how did he get that gig other than through positive discrimination?
Here's something on the pervert controversy: http://www.independent.co.uk/sport/wright-to-explain-attack-on-pleat-1365432.html And a blistering attack on Wright that will please Bummers: https://books.google.co.uk/books?id...&sa=X&ei=8MQaVZ_iKcrYPP2XgZAK&ved=0CCYQ6AEwAg
