Hey Gunner fans, genuine United fan not being a wum here!

Whats your thoughts on Wenger, i do feel sorry for him but he needs to splash out or they will slip down the table, he has done wonders with saving the club money and working on the young talent but me personally thinks its time to buy a decent striker, defence and maybe a midfielder in place of Cesc.

My best mates a huge Arsenal fan and i never hear the end of the bickering regarding the latest situation so i would just like to hear your thoughts.

As long as the Gunners finish above Liverpool im happy :D

he doesn't need to go, but we need someone new in his camp (assistant manager or football director) with fresh ideas for the club and also for playing style.

Hi Hendy - grats on the mighty bitch-slapping you gave the Spuds last night :)

    Agree with Drudeboy.

We need to replace old Pat with someone who can challenge Arsen's ideas from time to time.

As for splashing out, AW will bring in some decent players before the window closes.

For all the doom & gloom merchants - THE TRANSFER WINDOW IS STILL OPEN!!!

Cheers buddy, a service to the Gooners ill happy raise a glass 2!!

Ignore the doom and gloom merchants, we have loads for De Gea, the guy just needs time to settle, i hope that Nasri doesnt go to City, RAGE!!

Ps i have noticed that Arsene lets his best players go for 2 cheap or is that just me, i reckon next season Arsenal will pick up if Wenger gets the sources required!!

only players that go for cheap are when we sell to barca it seems to me (henry, hleb and fabregas). Fabregas was a bit of an unfair situation to us as the only team he wanted to play at were Barca and Arsenal. if he hadn't minded going somewhere else, I am sure we could have gotten at least £60m for him and probably more. henry and hleb were just transfer blunders.

We'll repay the service by allowing you a draw at the weekend :p

As for De Gea, we've been there with Scezny. Fergie may be in tthe senile age range, but he ain't quite there yet and I'm ceretain the goalie will come good. Citeh can sign all the Nasri's they want, but as long as they keep Lescott in the team they will leak goals like a seive. If they buy Squillaci of us you might be in trouble though <sarcasticsmiley>

Cheap sales, particularly Cesc. I reckon there is more than meets the eye there. Maybe he negotiated first refusal deals on a couple of Barca's players for next window? Generally though, he buys our ploayers so cheap that to make a loss on resale, he'd have to give them aweay + some cash :p

Haha i like your commitment to the team but you and i both know that United have a W over Arsenal, its never really anything else but itll be a good game for sure :D

Yeah i have high hopes for the keeper but like every other fan in every other team people just dont have patience, Lescott is terrible, and i cant comment on Squidsy as i havent seen him much!

Trust me, they need someone like Squillaci - can you start an e-petition and get all your Citeh mates to sign it?

  13. Big welcome Hendy.

In answer to your main question, I do hope Arsene stays with us bringing more silverware and future stars not only this season but until he feels it is time to take it easy. I'm among those who see a large level of plausibility in that article for several reasons. I believe too that if anyone can try to work within a tight budget and almost unreasonable constraints, it is Arsene. At worse, I hope he adds a midfielder/winger and a CB and LB. Then play Walcott as a striker. As some members have said too, I think the coaching team needs a shakeup. Pat Rice should have gone as was intended. Perhaps Steve Bould should be promoted to the first team. I believe that if Arsenal can stop leaking as many goals as it did last season, that would be an easy 12 - 15 points in the bag. If they can get the creativity in midfield going again and there's no reason to say this is impossible, then we could be a Top 4 side above Pool and Potatoes.

    Drop by often <ok>

Thanks for the welcome, decent fans in this department, warning - never go to the Liverpool site, just constant slabbering and blowing bubbles regarding King Kenny :D

One thing Arsene does not do is panick buy like Pool did with Carroll however other teams are or should be aware that Arsene needs players pronto and will surely capitalise on that so not sure how the transfer market will fold for you guys.

You still have quality young players ie Ramsey, Wiltshere, Walcott so i think a midfielder, centre back and a proven striker will be suffice!

Why do people think the assistant manager role is important ? The manager is headstrong and will do what he wants. Fergie had Mike Phelan and Carlos Queiroz, Queiroz flopped as Real Madrid manager and was nothing special as Portugal manager. The assistant manager role is largely pointless in my eyes. The 1st team coach is far more important .. actually training the players which is something I think Wenger is actively involved in doing, I don't remember seeing pics of Pat Rice taking the boys training.

Wenger was once brilliant but its clear he's absolutely Loosing his marbles.

He has to go. Today was the final straw for me. (Mata to Chelsea and Nasri to City)

Fabregas, Clichy and Nasri sold from a team that was not strong enough as it is.
