There were pre-season rumours about a few of our players being looked at by Premiership scouts, and now might be the time for these bids to come in after seeing our players play in the Premiership for half a season. Especially after a BBC article today suggests (no direct quotes) that Brendan is confident of Joe Allen staying, I wonder if a few teams are buzzing around a few of our better players. http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/16302834.stm Inevitably the next question is, should we sell anyone, and if so, how much for?
I think QPR will feel us out again for Ash Williams, but I don't expect anything to come of it. Very much a sideways move at the moment, unless QPR go on a mad run. Apart from that, who's shone to the point of a bid? Only Vorm really, I'd say, but he can't move as he's played for both Utrecht and the Swans this season, and FIFA say you can't play for more than 2 clubs in one season.
keep what we can afford to, sell whoever doesnt make the bench when fit regularly, buy some better than weve got to create strength in depth "within budget". Then sort out academy sharpish to have something to show for the money while weve got it !
i would be surprised if a champ club didnt come in for Dobbie or Moore seeing they are getting little or no gametime
I think teams will be looking at Joe Allen, Neil Taylor, Nathan Dyer and possibly Angel Rangel. The first three are all British, young and have been mentioned in transfer rumours this season, and Angel Rangel is one of the better right backs in the premiership.
Think Vorm will be the only target come January, and it could well be suicide if we sell him!..................... please log in to view this image
Well there are rumours, and I stress rumours, that he is going out on loan, hope not though Musty! Don't know what it is with Dobbie and managers.......... please log in to view this image
the dobster needs a fkn slap in the head, wake up boy and play, and trust me, i will fly over and give him that slap
Think you might get a Glasgow kiss for your troubles if you slapped Dobbie Would be good to loan a few players out though to give them more gametime, but our squad is very small, so someone would have to come in first I think.
i think people will look at Allen, and possibly Dyer. but i hope whoever runs the club snubs any bids like Levy. good luck and i'll same calling COYS!!!!!!
dobbie is still rumored to be joining the wurzels, there will be some enquiries about a few of our players especially Vorm and I hope nobody puts in an offer we cant refuse as we need him, there will be plenty of activity soon in the transfer market and i hope it will be players coming in and not key players going out, its squeaky bum time....
Musty your not on your own, I fancy giving Dobbie a boot up his backside, boys got talent, and needs to follow instructions a bit more, or at least look like he is, think he can be a bit of a maverick with the manager!....... please log in to view this image
