Before i start; United needed a red card AND a penat to beat us.

Anyway, maybe i am feeling glum after a sh*te weekend of sport (i am also a Lewis Hamilton fan), but i have a horrible feeling that we are going to limp to the January window. - please help me dispel this!

I have it in my heart that as soon as we get our first victory LFC will start battering all and sundry. however my head is telling me im being naive, we still have the very big problem of where are the goals to win future games going to come from?

Norwich are next up, a perfect time for Suarez to get a hatrick and to shut me up!

What do you guys think? will a win just be covering up the cracks OR will it relieve that pressure, give the young guys the confidence they need, prove to squad we can do it and give the fans belief?

    P.S. i realise i have answered my own question ; )

I think it will be papering over the cracks UNLESS rodgers tries something different to get that win, whether that's Gerrard playing as a false 9, or Morgan/Yesil being given a chance as a targetman for Suarez to play off. We've already seen that gambling on Sterling and Suso is paying off more so than the signings of Borini and Sahin

The movement of our forward players was impressive yesterday, but we clearly needed someone in front of our front 3 yesterday that is capable of finshing and allowing those 3 to do what they do best

So did you think in the future we should play like this:

    ------------Reina-----------------
    -Kelly-Skrtel-Agger-Johnson-
    -----Gerrard----Allen------------
    --Sterling-Suarez-Borini-------
    -------------Striker---------------

I agree that the movement was very good.

I think if we keep going in the direction we are going the goals will come.

  4. I don't think a Suarez hat-trick would be a good thing for us. IMO, Suarez isn't the type of forward that scores in spurts, he is the type of forward that goes hot and cold. If he got a hat-trick, he wouldn't score for two, three or four games afterwards.

I also think that Suarez bagging a hat-trick would mean us pursuing playing him upfront which, IMO, is not his best position (who else is going to play there at the minute though?) and effects the team too. Don't get me wrong, I love Suarez and think he fits the way Brendan wants us to play, but he is ****ing useless in front of goal so should either be in one of the wider berths or behind the striker.

Does it annoy anyone else that Suarez never picks his head up? When he gets the ball his head goes straight down and he attempts to dribble the ball into the net every time. It is too predictable and the opposition just double up on him to prevent him getting the room to do anything. Just is then followed by a theatrical dive <doh>

in the future i would like:

    -----Lucas----Allen-----

    --Sterling---Gerrard---Suarez--

    ---------Striker----------

a positive from yesterday, our goal came from close passing, penetrative football. not numerous ineffective crosses with no-one in the box. a brodgers tactic paying off i feel

  6. How far into the future are we talking here...? January? Next season? Longer?

I you mean January then fair enough, I'd just about go along with that. Any longer and you have to question Gerrard's contribution. He was immense yesterday but that the first time this season! One in eight games is not good enough <ok>

i suppose from january to the end of the season. agree about gerrard, was sort of hoping Sahin would fill his boots, but from watching him play im not sure what sort of player he is tryng to be.

  8. I think we have a few players that could do it but it depends on the system we play. If we played 4231 then players like Suarez, Suso, Shelvey, etc can play there. However, if it is the 433 then Suarez can't.

Personally, I'd rather we played the 4231 with Suarez just behind the main striker but that is not going to happen under Rodgers. (not complaining about the manager)

We will not paper over any cracks because we will not go on any big winning streak. We just had a game where we got a red card, soft penalty and 3 injuries to key players along with the Lucas injury. You could say it is bad luck all over again, add a lack of strikers on top and you have yourself a crisis. I just hope that we continue to play well and the owners recognise that unlike they did with Kenny.

Fed Up with you lot!! Just a gang of moaning minnies. Yes management mistakes have been made. Yes we have suffered a string of injuries. Yes we have played well for long periods of the majority of the games but lost too many.

However, we have been able to give more youth a chance and seen promising signs from all of them. For the 1st time on Sunday we looked like we could score goals - even without a striker!. We do have a squad that can be used to cover our injuries. Finally, we do not look like a side that is low of either skill or confidence.

Oh, stop moaning, you minnie. Yes, we have a manager with no record to justify all the lectures about having patience from fans who see one season as an eon. Yes, our start hasn't even matched that record. Yes, we hammered Hodgson, who had better win/loss stats and nobody except media muppets said we should have patience. Yes, Rafa and Kenny were responsible for those youth and gave many of them their first starts. Yes, Brendan has no Plan B. Yes, he doesn't do Plan Bs. Yes, Carroll is exactly the type of player you want when you're at 1-1 and down to ten men. Yes, West Ham are not the "Something extraordinary" Rodgers said it would take for Carroll to go. Yes, he lied to us, just as FSG did. Yes, patience is not just for a season and yes, after years of counseling patience I'm fed up of it and I will judge Rodgers by the same standards FSG judged one of the greatest men this club has ever produced. I'm done being reasonable and patient, a career win % of 41 and a loss % of 36 is ****. Utter ****. Worse-than-Hodgson ****. You have belief, I've had enough.

    Love you all. Muppets.
