With consistent playing time, will he step up?
Or is he unfit and demoralised?
Should he be sold and Oxo given a chance instead?

    No he wont.

He'll run around the pitch unenthusiastically like a fat schoolchild made to do PE.

He looked VERY lively against Leeds. Could be he didn't see a route to a starting spot with Gervinho ahead of him - the Arsenal "First 11" is generally almost set in stone for the season. With Gervinho gone, this could be his chance to prove himself, even if he's doing it to earn a move in Summer, it wouldn't be a bad thing!

I think he'll step up and perform for the next few games :)

    Wenger put it brilliantly:

"We know he has the talent. He has been questioned many times, but his attitude has always been spot on," said the Arsenal manager.

"In the last game specifically, he showed that he needs to play with confidence and freedom, that is his strength.

"Andrey is a creative player and you need that fraction of belief and confidence to play with freedom.

"He has always been a player who plays on the borderline, he is a big gambler.

"But at the end of the day against QPR, he gave the ball to Robin van Persie to score in that game.

"Sometimes the visual impression you get from a game has been frustrating, but he is very efficient."

Sounds like Wenger speak for "I'm too tactically naive to admit i should play Andrei in behind RvP, so i'll kiss his arse in a press conference instead"

You seem pretty certain about that?

If he does, I presume you'll retract this statement ?

I thought he had a decent first half - the pass for RVP's goal was really good. Not good enough overall though really. Last chance saloon for Arshavin I think.

The sooner Gervinho comes back the better, Arshavin is shocking.
