3 points today and a draw in the Reading game will be good, as will a Sunderland loss. I cant bring myself to hope the other team win.

Faurlin back in the squad. Injury wasn't too bad then?

El Pirata, your enthusiasm is infectious! Instead of despondent, I only feel morose!

Oh well, we've got to win sometime so here's hoping.

Would of liked to see Faurlin start, without Granero or Faurlin in the starting line up we miss somebody to spray the ball about

With Granero, Faurlin and Hoilett available I would never have picked Derry to start. Interesting one Harold.

Agreed. I don't want to be critical of Harry so soon, but I would have played Faurlin instead of Derry. Not so bothered about Granero and Hoilett at present. Still. we don't see what the manager sees in training etc I suppose. SWP played well last week imo so he probably warrants his place.

We've only met them 8 times in our history. We have the edge in terms of results.

We had a couple of good results up there back in Lge 1 and NPC days when they were a top team at that level. Last year was 2-0 but it could easily have been a draw. Their two goals were deflections and we hit the woodwork twice.

How did Oddball put it that time: "Peroni is going to be a great player. He rose like a Salmon to nod that chance off the crossbar"!

That's a decent post. Perhaps he's put Derry in ahead of young Faurlin because of the supposed strop he threw last week? He's dropped Cisse already for not trying a leg so maybe he's just sending out a message to all players that they have to toe the line.

In fairness to old Dezza, he did well against Man U and he does have the odd good game in him, maybe about one per month and then rest. When he's up for it he can be a genuine asset.

Good start. Derry and Bosingwa doing good. M'bia getting in the box. Adel making a lot, and shooting. Wigan have hardly got out their half. But no f*kkin goal.
