Tonight will tell us whether last week's performance was a flash in the pan, like the second half against Cardiff earlier this season. If Johnson has recovered enough there shouldn't be any team changes, but I reckon Wigan will be a tougher prospect than Brentford, whose owner seems to have disrupted the squad's morale by undermining a successful manager. Happy with a point.
Oi....where are the line -ups and stats You are right though FHB. The suspicion remains that Brentford was a 'dead cat bounce', as they say in politics.
I'm heading up there later, first visit to Wigan. I'd take a point to maintain the points difference we have over them. Same lineup as last week with Fox and Buyens coming in for Wiggins and Jacko.
I'm more interested to see if Luzon will rotate the team (as he's apparently known to do). Personally I'd change nothing, even with Wiggins fit, I thought the fact he was more disciplined helped both the back 4 and midfield considerably. I think this will be a bit of a scrappy affair, possibly a set piece in the first half being the difference between the two. I'll go 1-1. Scorer is JBG
I'm usually only about 70% right with the lineups, but I think that he's going to maybe go for this option: please log in to view this image Given that Jackson is injured, he might start LePoint and Buyens in the middle instead, though it would be nice (given Wigan's abysmal performances recently to go all out and play the 4-4-2 (Diamond). I'm going 1 - 3 to Charlton. Given how we played against Brentford, there is NO excuses why we should be able to dominate this game.
No Bulot after Brentford? I think we have to try and keep his confidence going - he seems to be one of those players.
Totally agree, but his one good game was his last one so you have to give him a chance to build on that. If he reverts to normal service, Eagles is his natural replacement for part or all of the second half. If Bulot is playing half-decently he does give us a natural presence on the left. But like you, I have no great confidence in him. One-and-a-half decent showings out of eleven is not great.
I've heard, through the grapevine that there is a stream available for tonight game, if like me you work Mon-Fri 9 - 5 in town, and couldn't get time off.
