Various discussions have been taking place for a while now, some have been stating Nige is hog tied because we are broke, others state parachute payments are the cause of imbalance, others comment we are all mostly in the same state.

I have just taken market values of arrivals and departures and made up a comparison list to date.I don't claim total accuracy, I have given my source at the top of the page, if you take the time to study the figures it does give some interesting facts and information, any mistakes found I appologise.

I won't give any personl conclusions, just leave it there for all that are interested

When we are behind the likes of Blackpool and Rotherham in terms of money invested in the playing squad versus those moved on elsewhere, it's easy to see why we are considered one of the relegation favourites.

    Uncomfortable reading

I question some of these figures tbh (not a dig at you Wiz, I know you post what you find). Did PNE really spend £8.1m on o goalkeeper for example?

I'm not convinced Sunderland have spent 7.5 million. Possibly 5 million.

Ok, I see the issue. The table is market value of the players signed, not what it cost to sign them.

Not miracles, just some sign of improvement from our experienced manager. Everyone moaned that LJ was inexperienced and anyone with a modicum of experience could do better, yet here we are. NP still has what were probably the best players left from when LJ left and has a bunch of his own signings, but we are going backwards. I can't believe you can't see this is down to management, coaching?

No you Dimlow, you expect miracles by saying we’re going for it etc one week. Then to saying it’s the players (by the way its Nige’s defence now) the next. You’re trying to justify something that don’t need justifying.
It’s like last night, saying the boo boys will have to wait. No one is saying they want him out or anything only in your weird head.

We do fare worse second half in games once the opposition figure us out, which is disappointing. We need to be able to adapt our game plan, you’d think that would be a strength as we have such an experienced manager

is the day of the older manager passed or is passing quite quickly... often mixed up with drawing wrong conclusion that a post may be an opinion rather statement of the facts!! dare I say it...

    since 03/03/2021 BCFC HAS BEEN A DISASTER .... ON 27/2/21 bcfc were 11th on 45 pts with 7 pts off PO's and 16pts above relegation ... we had played 33 games ......safe to say NP's reign took full effect from 03/03/21 .... 5 games later we had dropped to 14th on 49 pts and a further 5 making 10 games we were 15th on 51 pts and now 23 pts off PO's and 11pts off relegation end of season NP 13 GAMES IN FULL CONTROL === L L W D L L L D D L L L L ==== 6 PTS
FROM 7 pts off PO's to 26 pts off PO'S in 13 games not a very good record 9 losses in 13 games..

there does not seem to be a plan B ... Plan A is obvious dont finish above bottom third / lose regularly ... so Plan B should be win games and finish in top 6 ... the win bit is the achilles heel

You are correct John, you do tend to confuse opinion, statement and facts. Must be your age :emoticon-0136-giggl

IMO or IMHO tend to be clues as to the strength of an opinion ...

regarding the past 18 month's BCFC has been scammed ... IMO!

What about the 10-12 players he’s signed then?

In fairness Most are either “for the future “ or oldies to add experience. As I’ve often said though I’m not disagreeing he isn’t getting the best of the players at his disposal, yet .

Of course he can’t, but you must agree he isn’t getting the most out of the players he has. They show glimpses, but don’t keep it up for 90 minutes. I accept it’s only 2 games in and far too early to panic, but he has to improve our collective performances and most of all find a way come what may of winning games.
