Is our game against Wigan going to be moved because of their FA Cup win today? If so, when will we know details? It is easier for me to get over for mid week games.
The FA site says the semi finals are on the weekend of sat/sun 13th/14th. We play Wigan on the saturday before (7th). Would be interesting to see how they approach our game knowing the semi is a week away. Plus they already have a rearranged game to fit in as well as their game with Swansea now so a lot of football for them...which could be a good or bad thing depending on how you look at it.
Does anyone know who Wigan's current game in hand is against? I can only see 9 games displayed on Wigan's official site/the bbc site, yet they've got 10 left to play. Very strange!
Cheers mate I suppose it hasn't been scheduled yet! If the game Vs us is rescheduled too, they could end up with 2 in hand. I wonder who's favour that will work in...
That's strange 'cos on the way home the Radio (5 live ? ) said we would now be playing Wigan under the lights 'cos of the FA cup change. Assume from reading on here they got it wrong
I would say that it depends on whether you are playing catch-up (more stressful) with your relegation rivals having already won/drawn those games, putting points on the board, or the opposite (more relaxed) if rivals have already squandered the opportunity to collect those points. Glad we are peaking at the right time for the run-in (unlike Reading) - after the last couple of wins, it would just be so disappointing to end up being relegated by a single point or on GD. Anyway we must continue to keep the faith, as Wigan did in their 4 min 3 goal blitz at Everton today in the FA Cup, but not at home against Merseyside rivals, Liverpool, last weekend when they were blitzed 0-4 in the League and I thought I heard 'True Faith' being played over the loudspeakers after that game at the DW Stadium. I'll gladly give them the FA Cup if we can stay up.
