So Wigan have now drawn to both Swansea and Norwich in their opening games. I think in our own pile of misery (pre-Fernandes), we let that little fact slip us by. If you ask me, that's fantastic as they're all our relegation candidates, and I'd be more concerned about drawing to Wigan than I would be about losing 4-0 to Bolton who are a top eight side. In my opinion Wigan have the weakest squad in the PL and we should be looking to beat them on Saturday. If we maintain the work rate and concentration that we saw today, that should happen! Especially with one or two new signings (SWP anyone?) in the ranks. Here's hoping! (I realise that I'll get stick if we now fail to beat them, but I will happily stand by my words...)
Yes you are correct. To stay up we're unlikely to beat Man U but Wigan should be up there on our list. Funnily enough I think the enforced changes yesterday leading to dave starting meant we had more physical presence and against Wigan we'll need to be combative. It's very 'do-able' next Saturday and yes maybe a crouch, SWP or Onouha might be in the starting line up
