I've never believed that Mike would go out and get him even though he's the perfect fit for the clubs development ethos - costs too much.

He needs to be cheap and young so the club has a larger resell value should suitors come 'a courting

valued at 10 m <laugh>

what a ****ing joke

not bad for someone who only got his 1st goal of the season at the end of january

The £10 million tag is jingoistic as far as the Tractor boys are concerned but if that detracts suitors then it's had the desired affect.

Some club will pay it though.

Playing Championship level football week in week out at 17 is proof alone of a quality player!

From what I remember Carroll hadn't even made the step up to the reserves at that age.

Neither had many players. The difference is Wickham already has the height. By the time other players his age catch him up he'll be an average player. I'd have him, but no more than £4 million.

5m + Add ons = Very good deal in my opinion. Nowhere near prolific enough to be worth 10m just because he's English, very young and potentially can become as good as ''Rooney''.. which is laughable to say the least. Good youngster but that's about it, he's not a ''outstanding'' prospect, a bit overrated to me anyways..

ur crazy if u think he wont go for anything under 10! andy went for 35 so why wudnt wickham cost a bit too! id say in the current market and for potenital he'd be somin like 12m ! and u can quote me in the summer on tht one when he joins us :P

Wouldn't be happy to pay £12m for a 17 year old who hasn't even proven himself at Championship level.

£6m with add ons would be generous. Plenty of of young players have 'potential' they dont reach. Freddy Adu is a perfect example.
