Early days yet, but two good games in a row. Can he step up this season? I'm not saying can he score 20 goals this season, I'll eat my hat if he does, but by the end of the season could he be in double figures? If so should we not not be looking at two strikers and rather just sign one big statement of a player?
Wouldn't say '2 good games, the first one was better'. But he did enough in that game to think, maybe there is something there. Young Noble impressed more in a few minutes. Maybe both can make it, eventually, but at the moment it would be suicidal to go into the season as we are..... Who knows this maybe the week we see the arrival of Fletcher or maybe someone else.
one big striker signing and one unknown from abroad when he signs we all say WHO and then becomes a superstar who bangs them in for fun
Wickham is still only a kid. Lots of time on his side and used wisely by MON will see a very talented individual become a major asset to SAFC in the coming seasons.
Both still young enough to make it we seem to forget that Whickhams season was cut short by injury so in my opinion not enough to judge him on. Noble has had his problems but, with some hard work could well do it, both of these lads firing on all cylinders should net us a fair few goals. With the addition of a quality striker should see us get over our sad lack of goals which for SAFC has been a problem in the PL since the Quinn/SKP days.
