Okay he has scored two and I like the lad. He has pace, height, good feet and he is still learning the game. I have said many times you won't see the best of him until his mid 20's when he has learned his trade. Great to see him scoring but at his age he will still be inconsistent etc. he is a very good player though. Hopefully he will play up front until the end of the season. He can score goals and took both his goals very well, he bust his gut to get up for giacc for the second goal. He does play in fits and starts and can drop in and out of the game but he is only 21.
its a joke that it has taken this long for someone to give him a run. bruce paid a **** load of cash for him and left him out in the cold and stunted his devlopment. mon then did exactly the same, he gave him one game and said that was his chance, which was bullshit imo. then di canio seemed to have the same idea and left him in the cold. so hes been here for 3 years now and has basicly gone backwards. we should have kept him and gave him regular football and helped him develop. none of our recent managers seem to have too much faith in youth and this needs to change given we have a top notch acadamy
If hes here next season he'll be leading the line. He's going into the last year of his contract though so unless he agreed to a two year extension id sell him.
ive always liked him, and if there was ever a season to start him upfront every game it was this season, its been wasted on altidore
Don't agree that he has pace. If he did he'd be a very good prospect indeed. Great to see him on the end of a cross AND trying his bollocks off last night at last! I thought he held it up well in both our last two games. Overall I'm a fan. If we go down he'll be great. If we stay up I'd have him involved if not necessarily starting most games.
