Wish him and Massey the best of luck in the next month, would be nice to see them both playing first team football soon, but could do with Wichelow scoring lots for my fun league side Exeter!
Nothing on wobby or offish site or even his twitter ! Are you sure GB? Exeter or tiverton , care to shed any light!
least its only a month and should help him get some match fitness , might come back to us as a sub ! I think Matty is one of many that has fallen foul of the 5 sub rule!
Fair enough. It was not there a few hours ago lol. Good spot though. Lets hope he shines and gives SD something to think about
The midfield picks itself at the moment, but I'm still surprised that he isn't getting a look-in from the bench. He's not though, so he may as well be playing games.
sorry late replay guys yeah a mate of mines an exeter fan, he sent me a link from there site thats how i found it. Must admit the way he played last year I think gives him the right to push for his place this year. Plus he livened the game at coventry up when he came on
Argh- bloody 5 sub rule. Plus our slquad exspansion he should have been on loan last season on bench this.
that's the thing Roo...last season they should have been loaned out, they weren't necessarily ready for the bench or first team action...they're still in with a good chance, but they're being groomed the correct way now we have a fuller squad...i think it's a good idea to loan out as many as possible
their development would be going at an unusual rate to that which they would expect (if that is english lol)
Last year the youngsters were needed in the squad, this year not so much. I think we have just become used to an over-reliance on the youngsters, whereas normally you want to slowly introduce them to first team football. The Championship is a very physical league, as well as being at a very good level and is becoming a very tough league with many quality players - it's not always the ideal environment for so many kids to learn their trade. It must be very draining for them, physically and mentally (especially if they are in a struggling team). No doubt the 5-sub rule has effected us quite a bit, so now we have to be much more careful who we name on the bench. When we have the likes of Mirfin, Bauben, Deeney and Iwelumo on the fringes, as well as Garner, it leaves very little room to bring in the youngsters! The FL need a serious rethink of this rule... even if the extra 2 have to be academy/U21 players! This will benefit the clubs and the country so much more! Let's just hope the youngsters get game time at their respective clubs and ready to play first team for us!
VitalWatfordVital Watford Feel sorry for Whichelow, having impressed hugely last season he's been a massive victim of the five-subs rule. #watfordfc
