For the boxing fans amongst us... What's your thoughts on this one? I like Parker and his team, he's down to earth and his promoter seems like a nice nerdy chap who makes a pretty embarrassing public figure. I think he has a good brain on him, he's fairly fast, good footwork, but not sure he's got much on his punches. Whyte seems a bit thick, and he's happy to take on the brash role in a heartbeat. He's actually got solid fundamentals, and has done everything required to get another title fight. I think Wilder would probably rather vacate the belt than fight him before his payday/retirement bonus after losing to AJ. I think his power will play a big factor late on in the fight, and it's the only reason I would make him slight favourite in a tear-up that will likely go the distance. Another interesting question, is what next for the winner... and what next for the loser?
I think Parker but it might be tight. Hope Whyte can turn it into a brawl just for viewing pleasure, I'd still fancy Parker think he's got a granite chin. As for your next question, **** knows. Joshua will fight Povetkin, Jarrell Miller (joke) and keep farting about. Fury maybe? If he beats Pianeta and someone else in say, September
Whyte for me as he has the power and weight of punch over Parker. Winner will fight winner of Joshua v Wilder. Loser to take on Fury.
Think if Jimmy gets a good break going he should walk it. Parker was just a midfield grafter and isn’t very good at Snooker either.
I saw it coming, Takam has never had the punch output he was delivering, so Chisora did what he does best, defended well and let him punch himself out. At the end of the previous round Takam just dropped and his punches started missing and had nothing on them. Class finish by Chisora. Class undercard overall
Aye could see in the 1st round Chisora was going to let Takam punch himself out then sort him out, Takam was never going to knock Chisora out he's as tough as they come. Fight of the year that. If the main event is half as good as that we're in for a treat
I think Chisora would have a shot if he could draw Joshua into a slug fest, but even then I think he would be gambling his life! Joshua would more than likely jab his head off for 12 rounds and not risk anything. Wilder would be the more likely shot, but realistically he should be behind Whyte and Parker whatever happens tonight. Whyte is the unluckiest man at heavyweight because Wilder has clearly dodged him, and the only other champion has already sparked him. He's an underrated boxer.
Wilder would be a winnable fight for Del Boy, Wilder can't box and only wins with his freakish power, but if anyone can take his best shots it's Chisora who is rock solid. Not sure I agree about Whyte being unlucky I think Chisora was robbed in their fight, but I get your point
This ref has been shocking. Whyte is punching low and basically performing wrestling moves, and the ref is soft as ****e. For me Parker has won all the rounds, but obvs that "knockdown" means He's only 1 ahead
Froch and Bellew must be on smack or watching a different fight to me. Whyte's erratic and Parker has landed a lot more accurately. Whyte's best shots have been to the body.
