Well known free-bar enthusiast Delia Smith gatecrashes the Lady Elsie Robson evening in Bury St Edmunds and is interviewed by Stewart White (news reporter and star of Alpha Papa). She's interviewed about the new ward and Sir Bobby's charity and is happy to shoot the breeze when Stew turns the conversation to all things canary. Then Big Stew asks about their league position and Delia goes all coy! "I'm not here to talk about football"!!! If she had a pint of cooking sherry inside her, she'd be waving her arms and screaming for a twelfth man. How times have changed!... I also posted this in the 'books' forum due to a technical mishap!
Yes I noticed how she went all coy when Stuart White pressed her on Norwich's league position, he is, to be fair a good journalist, and quite entitled to press her. You can bet your bottom dollar, that if Norwich were flying high, she would never have shut up
I've just seen it on the iplayer. It's nice to see Stuart again although the wrinkles are showing nowadays! I think it's incredible how much good Sir Bobby and Lady Elsie have done for so long. It's incredible to see that even now they are having such a tremendously positive impact. Delia handled the question with a smile on her face. What a brilliant story.
