It is obvious that the SFA got their punishment all wrong yesterday. Lets take the Rangers club first. Fining £160,000 is peanuts as the fans have collected far more than that by buying Union Jacks hoping to annoy Celtic fans and all the other save, the Rangers fund raisers and collections they have had. Banning Rangers or the Newhunhatetaigs from signing any player over 18 won't be a punishment as Paul's Blue Bastards have no money and hence won't be buying any players. The Yankee idiot does not want or need players, he can his profit off the field. Banning Mr Whyte for life from having any association with any Scottish team and fining him £200,000 seems to me to be nonsense. Mr Whyte won't pay the fine. Surely the SFA have got punishment the wrong way round. Mr Whyte with no football acumen was duped by the experienced and wily B. David Murray. How come the "green horned" Whyte got more punishment than the Rangers club. The 139 year old club the best legal and accountancy advice in Scotland, the club either chose to ignore the advice or decided to do it their own way in the belief they would not have punished. Either way they have been caught and rather than punish someone still wet behind the ears in football times the club should have got the books through at them. Enough men of experience and legionary status on board when Whyte took over to inform SFA things were not right. No point leaking wee bits to media, the SFA should have been informed.
Why are you peddling this 'innocent' Craig Whyte ****e? If it's just to annoy Rangers fans then fair enough. However, if you really think that's the case then you should be locked up in a room with rubber wallpaper.
Stereo, rangers fans are peddling the story that Whyte is to blame for all their woes. Just not true Rangers were a basket case before Whyte had anything to do with them. He brought the whole nasty boil to ahead by not paying the N.I. and PAYE. Rangers fans wish to hold Whyte accountable , so that all the Board of Directors including SPL and SFA Directors are kept out as long as possible. I just want the blame to be spread over everyone who is to blame. No matter what Whyte did some Director(s) knew it was wrong and should have informed.
Fair enough but there is no way that Whyte is a victim here. He saw an opportunity to make money out of an ailing business and went for it. It's what he does. But you are right about Whyte getting all the blame. I'm afraid when it comes to Minty and the rest of the Rangers Board members of the time there is still a succulent lamb mentality among the Scottish press.
Whyte is far from 'innocent', having put the final nails in Rangers' coffin but you're quite right sh - the board of Directors were complicit with everything that occurred at the club ... something to which it seems the Rangers' fans have not woken up, given their backing for Murray mark II and his so-called 'Knights'. Maybe if/when the big tax case goes against them, they will realize that Murray mark I and all the Directors who enjoyed the years of plenty are every bit as guilty and more so, of running their club into the ground.
Espania and Stereo I agree with you both of course Whyte is a a bit of a con man out to make money where he can. But the media thought that he was to blame for all Rangers ills. Just too convenient. The shame of many more has to be opened up for all to see.
