Surely this the chance to blood a player that will certainly have a big part to play for this country.

He's at one of the biggest clubs in the world, it's nothing opposition wher we could play 9 plares and win, and he would get HUGE International experience and confidence.

Germany, Holland and France wouldn't make this mistake!

    Opportunity missed........AGAIN!

It's not often Manchester United pay that kind of money for a player and he turns out to be a flop.

Doesn't woy have to name his squad for.both qualifiers in advance, not just prior to each game. Whilst he could play tonight I.wouodnt want him lining up against Montenegro. Although now Walcott is out we could gave done with him in the squad in hindsight.

I.see zaha scored last night too

Zaha played quite well last night for the U21s - scored a nice goal as well.

Also, has Woy called up a replacement for Walcott?

Overrated piece of ****, and he's not even ****ing English either. How the hell can somebody born in the Ivory Coast to Ivorian parents be English?! Just because he did his GCSEs here? Bullshit. Thanks to Hodgson, though, we're now stuck with the **** after he played in the Sweden debacle

Brave claim, off the top of my head i can think of, Hargreaves 18m or so, Veron nearly 30m, Anderson nearly 20m, Zoran Tosic was about 8m as was Bebe.....

Personally i think he's not playing as he's over rated, not as good as the media make out and more importantly not as good as HE thinks he is. Can't see him breaking into their 1st team and will go to a lower league prem team within 3 season

Apart from Hargreaves, who was just unlucky due to injury and played well for Man Utd when he was fit, those other 4 were/are shocking.

They managed to get 20ish million out of Chelski for Veron - how?

So that 4 in 12 years and even then Hargreaves wasn't a flop.

They were just 5 which immediately spring to mind where the fees were significant I do agree that Hargreaves was a good player, but paying that much for someone to play 5-10 games a season for 4 years then move for free in my view is a bad signing.

More recently, the fees paid for Smalling and Jones could prove in time to also be poor, 2 seasons into their Utd careers and neither is yet first choice, or even a regular player. The 26M signing of DeGea has also been called into question quite a lot by various pundits too. With reference to all 3 of these though, time will tell and judgements cannot be made now.

So considering your original point that Man U don't often pay large fees for it not to work out, I personally think that there is evidence to suggest that this is not 100% correct

    De Gea was 26mil?

Bloody hell, that's a bit steep ain't it, considering what he's been like?

Yes. Most of the Welsh and Scottish squads do, because they're ****ing English. And what about Kevin-Prince Boateng - born in Germany but too **** to play for them, so gets to play for Ghana because that's where his father's from. Of course, you may ignore the fact I'm encouraging a change to rules so that a black man would only be able to play for a 'white' country, because you like to paint me as a Little Hitler <ok>
