I just can't understand why the **** we are still playing 4-5-1 at home! We tried that last season when Scotland/Priskin played in the lone striker role and it just didn't work! Please PJ FFS get back to playing at least a 4-4-2 ! We have the width and now that we have 6 strikers at the club surely 4-4-2 is the way to go. With the current fragility of our Defence we need to carry a goal threat and Chopra up front on his own just isn't going to cut it!

I just hope today isn't going to be the template for next season otherwise I will hand my season tickets in now! 4-4-2 Jewell and nothing less will do!

<laugh> Warky you are a drama queen. We were beating a top flight side until we made loads of changes...

I wasnt there though so you could be right, you could be wrong...

So you are a happy for us to play such negative tactics when we have 6 strikers on our books! Forgive me for being a drama queen but I have spent a considerable amount of money on 4 season tickets. We are always liable to concede so that means we have to carry a sizeable goal threat meaning that we have at least 2 strikers on the pitch! I know I am from Suffolk and a bit simple but I thought that the only way to win football matches is to out score the opposition!

Today we were all over wolves they didn't even hit th target untill the 80th minute . what our problem was the lack of a 2nd striker up front . we need that 4 4 2 . I,m no manager but its so obvious . if chopra had someone to play of he would of bagged a few . get rid of the old style play .

I think PJ was just showing Wolves a bit of respect. I think for 90% of home games we will play 442 but when we come up against sides like West Ham, Leicester, Birmingham we may play 451 to ensure the midfield isn't overrun and the defence is protected.

In hindisght it may have been better to play 442 yesterday as we more than matched Wolves but it's good to test these things out pre season. Nothing to get upset about.

451 is not necessarily a negative tictac as long as the midfield get up in support of the frontman that said weather we have the players for this tictac to be effective is another question.

I'll put my faith in PJ and not question every decision that is made.

Wolves fan here, I went to the game and I thought you did really well and played good football. We played poorly and didnt deserve to win.

However, Do you think you are play off contenders? Our reserves yesterday beat you and I think that would be a worry although its only a friendly. All our best players played not part after the celtic game in midweek so our youngsters and reserves played, and from our line up it looked poor.

I would like to see ipswich come back up as ive always had a soft spot from when you was in the premier league. i use to love to watch ipswich play

I agree with Crimson in that 4-5-1 isn't necessarily negative, with full backs like Cresswell and Edwards overlapping our wingers it could be more of a Chelsea style 4-5-1.

But I do think that we should, and will be playing 4-4-2 at home.

What's a negative tictac? Is it one of them tiny mints in a plastic box minus the flavour. Sounds a bit boring to me.
