It really does mystify me why they just cannot accept that we are a Premiership club now.

I find that most of their fans are fine but some just get so upset. Just get over yourselves and move on.

When the likes of a very average Cardiff City team wins the Championship with consummate ease it must raise the hopes of clubs such as ours that the promised land of the Premiership can be a reality.

27 points behind us, so they only need to turn 9 losses into wins. <whistle>

Or maybe turn 2 wins into losses and get relegated.<doh>

    Not bitter, just deluded.

If it were so easy, everyone would be doing it......

....oh, forgot, everybody is trying to do it, but only 3 teams a year can.

As DJ says. before they start looking up, they need to get enough points to stop worrying about looking down.

There are several clubs better placed for next season than Ipswich. Mick M is a good manager at this level and will make them competative. However, other clubs won't stand still and will compete also. We know hard a league this is and have knocked on the door several times before stepping through.

    The problem is this......
These types of clubs/fans/media representatives don't like it when they get beaten by any team whether it be a competitive match, a league ambition or as a deluded perception of their history and their divine 'right' to be a team ranked higher than they are.

At the end of the day no-one likes the feeling of defeat (we should know: playoffs, fa cup, league cup finals) BUT it hurts these 'established' English teams more because they don't like being beaten or out performed by a WELSH team.

Us and our dear rivals 40 miles west are seen as a real threat to this incredible arrogance amongst these clubs who believe they should be in a division higher than they are in.

I do not recall any of this 'hands in the air' nonsense when we got promoted from the 4th division not too long ago or the swans for that matter.

Personally I cannot wait for next season. It will go to the wire for us, but with MM in charge we will fight to the end and mark my words we will pull off one or two shock victories against the so called 'big boys' and have some nice '50 FONT' sized headlines on the back pages courtesy of the biased, man u favouring-London centric tabloids.

    Here's to 2013-14!

And no play offs to worry about.......

It is strange that he perceives us as average, where does that place them?
We didn't exactly drag our feet over the line, having been top of the league since November, now that takes a bit of doing.
Lucky? Well we won games that we could have lost, but then we got beat in games we thought we would win, that's the nature of the game, and if other teams couldn't pick up points when we failed then I would say that's because they wasn't good enough to do so.
If all they had to do to join us was to be average, clearly they were well below average.
