I don't see Hamilton bringing a team to the top and then winning 5 more titles.... Why do people keep saying Rosberg is way better? 1) Michael had not been racing an F1 car for 3 years. 2) He had no input on the 2010 Mercedes. 3) The Merc was designed around Button. 4) The car understeered, not preferred for Michael. 5) He is 42 and undoubtedly will be a few tenths slower than a younger man. 6) Accidents in earlier races , made him lose many points compared to Rosberg. Rosberg should keep his trap shut, until he wins a race. As the most successful driver to have ever lived he deserves whatever number he wants. He has earned his place in the world and NO-ONE can take this away from him. The car is pointier and straighter, this should allow him more overtsteer and freedom in the Merc. More testing over the 2nd half of last season and winter will bring him back up to pace. Evidence of his dominance flashed a few times last season, quick reactions in Monaco (vs Alonso) and Spa Quali, when his dodged 6 or 7 cars skidding off the track in the rain. Schumacher is humble in defeat, he has not complained about the season but actually stated that it would take time to get back to the front and not a 1 year job. The man has been in f1 since 1991 and has gained immense knowledge of the sport. He is not a young boy pumped into a glitzy team without working...he does not live in a incubator like HAM and ALO, when things go wrong he does not throw his toys out of the pram like a baby. In conclusion, I can see the hunger to win in his eyes and I wouldn't be surprised id Brawn (his long time friend) builds the right car with him. Schumacher works hard to gain the wins... Don't rule him out because of your arrogance.
If Schumacher wins a race this year I`ll eat my own poo. Ok? Deal? Bookmark this page as evidence mate so you dont forget
Rosberg beat Schumacher hands down. They both struggled from the same understeer problem except Rosberg was able to adapt better. Even Brawn said so. You're a fanboy Manny. Only Alonso fanboys are allowed here!
I completely agree with you, and I think this is a great contribution to the forum. I have promoted it to the main page: http://www.not606.com/content.php/196-Why-Schumi-has-a-realistic-chance
It's going to go one of two ways this season for Schumi, he will either be right at the front again, or if he isn't, he will retire during the season. I hope it's the former, not the latter.
1) Michael had not been racing an F1 car for 3 years. True 2) He had no input on the 2010 Mercedes. Neither did Rosberg 3) The Merc was designed around Button. Not Rosberg 4) The car understeered, not preferred for Michael. Nor Rosberg 5) He is 42 and undoubtedly will be a few tenths slower than a younger man. Then he should give up his seat for an up and coming driver such as Hulkenberg 6) Accidents in earlier races , made him lose many points compared to Rosberg. Accidents caused by who? Rosberg had no unforced DNFs, was smashed into by Webber and has had two wheels fall off in different races. "Rosberg should keep his trap shut, until he wins a race." Why what has he said?
1) Glad you understand 2) Schumacher was pulled into Mercedes way after Rosberg got a contract. 3)+4) Button is on one extreme of understeer, Schumacher is on the other (oversteer), Rosberg in in neither extreme. 5) Barrichello has not moved and he has driven more laps without producing much wins or podiums, the only latest time he has was in 2009, when Brawn produced a championship winning car. 6) Australia- 1st corner. Malaysia- Weel nut problem Monaco- unexpected penalty Enough?
Rosberg said he was unfazed by Michael, seemed defensiva about him in his last interview and doesn't really act like a teammate so early before a season has started...
1) Glad you understand 2) Schumacher was pulled into Mercedes way after Rosberg got a contract. - doesn't make a difference 3)+4) Button is on one extreme of understeer, Schumacher is on the other (oversteer), Rosberg in in neither extreme. - Rosberg said he hates understeer 5) Barrichello has not moved and he has driven more laps without producing much wins or podiums, the only latest time he has was in 2009, when Brawn produced a championship winning car. - I actually don't think his age will be affect him once he's settled back in. If you think he's too old then he should give his seat up. Barrichello won races last year. 6) Australia- 1st corner. Malaysia- Weel nut problem Monaco- unexpected penalty - Ah so they were failures rather than self caused accidents. Can't have Monaco I'm afraid. It was a harsh penalty but he broke the rules As for Rosberg being unfazed - what is wrong with that?
Its fun to have a debate, the only thing we can do it simply wait....until testing starts... Then the fun will begin.
