Why oh why do we feel that we have to share with the rest of the QPR world what people connected to our club have said in carefully scripted language designed for public consumption? 1 Do they provide any facts that we do not already know? no 2. Do they tell us what they think we would like to hear? yes 3. Is it worth the pixels it's written in? no 4. Should we get all worked up by it? no 5. Are we as responsible as they are for the fact that our transfer policy does not seem to be working? yes 6. Do we encourage this drivel by lapping it all up? yes 7. Is it going to help us in the long run? You tell me. So for now at least no more threads about Amit Bhatia, Tony Fernandes and especially Jopey Barton's pronouncements. I for one do not think they are worth their weight in gold.
All the above is what we come on this board for and to argue and bitch with each other over the bullsh*t that is spouted. Everyone has an opinion and some are more extreme than others. It would be pretty boring if we all agreed with each other so Cerny, Ellers, Bob and the rest, keep on spouting...
1 Do they provide any facts that we do not already know? Unfotunately due to the modern age of technology there is not much that is revealed or not known before release by the club soo they are in a no win situation there. 2. Do they tell us what they think we would like to hear? yes, of course they do, the same with any club, business or leaders. They want it all to be positive which is better than doom and gloom all the time. I think a mixture of the two would be the way forward. 3. Is it worth the pixels it's written in? de[end if you are internet savvy or still a dinosaur and require the old sports section to catch up on stuff..... they are out there (in the voice of Mulder) 4. Should we get all worked up by it? nah whats the point not much we can do about it just ask Blackburn fans. 5. Are we as responsible as they are for the fact that our transfer policy does not seem to be working? fans cannot be responsible for a clubs transfer policy but if all the info is leaked during the negotiations then it has to be 99% of the time the clubs leaking the info. 6. Do we encourage this drivel by lapping it all up? yes but after all we support the club so why wouldnt we. 7. Is it going to help us in the long run? I dont know but as long as they are communicating with the fans it c`ant be all bad, remember Tango & Cash. If they all go quiet then we all need to worry.
