Here we go again... Peterborough sign Cuveluer.. Sheffield Wednesday sign Olufinjana.. Barnsley sign Knight.. Ipswich sign Brown.. Bristol City FC, bottom of the table sign nobody, is this a sign of the future....? http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/championship/
What would be the point of signing anyone who isn't better than what we have? The players we have asked about apparently either not been available or didn't want to come.
This is playing devil's advocate but if our players are better than any other's out there why are we bottom of the league, there must be someone good enough to help or god help us...
why upset who we have for someone who at this late stage in the season cant hack it ealsewhere and I thought CJS was the 3 posters? is there 2 more?
Perhaps we are now seeing some evidence of SO'D's stubborn side. Before anyone has a go at me for not "supporting" him, I've just bought my tickets for Bolton and Brum and with the journey cost that is around £400. So I support Bristol City. Now back to my points; He left Albert out after his return from Africa Cup because he said he needed to get him up to speed on his method of playing. Yet he's admitted that Marvin Elliott is a bit of a maverick and he has accepted he'll roam around not following the SO'D Organisational Plan. So as he allows just one "wild card" in the team, any new loan signing will probably take a month to learn how to fit in with his way of team organisation. So more of the same "let's not lose" tactics rather than going for broke at this stage and four points from safety. OK you can all let loose now; you can guarantee that we'll get 6 points by Monday evening and I'll look a right idiot. Or will we and will I?
Got a good feeling about this weekend. We are a bit short up front unless he wants to use Adomah so we have a choice of 4 if Taylor is fit. He likes Kilkenny and Howard so we have cover in the middle, defence is ok with them all being fit. So maybe we might be ok in SoD's eyes. Not mine but I wouldn't take advice of SoD over concrete so why should he take my advice over football management.
no point in loaning players who will take a while to get the way he wants them to play. I am happy to stick with what we have got. If someone exceptional was available 'and would come' then thats fine. But knowing our luck, we would get Lampard on loan and he would last 10 minutes before going off with a season ending injury. And Wiz - the players we have, under this manager, have us in mid-table on the form guide. Which would be a lovely place to finish. I cant make Derby, but me and my 2 boys have tickets for Monday. Somehow the wife accepted my request for a 'nice weekend in Bristol' without question - we are going to see Starlight Express on Saturday night and City on Monday. It is the first time my 2 sons have been to Ashton Gate, so is it possible we could raise the roof for them? I want them to have the same tingle I get, when the players run on the pitch. What a day it will be.
