I've been on the forum for a month or two (used the chatbox more) and I've noticed the complete change of tone on the board.

Around Jan, you all had the opinions that Utd, although struggling with away form, would probably win the league, including LuisNani17.

Now, March, most people are doubting their ability to win the league (not because you are bad, because it is close). The likes of Swarbs, 4321 and United in Red realise this but still have hope and confidence.

However, there are people on here that are the 'typical' Manchester Utd supporter, mainly LN17. They are so fickle in thier opinion on the current situation and now the new idea is that you will lose to Arsenal in the FA cup, lose the CL and the League.

Although, I'm not a Man Utd supporter, I still feel that he is being incredibly pessimistic and I personally feel that he is starting to put a bad picture to Man Utd, and I call for a serious ban from him for constant pestering and the inability to accept that he is wrong.

All I'm trying to say is that the board is being spolit by one or two fans who just ****ing moan.

    Rant over.

Unfortunately. Pity really. The best views are usually the least noticable.

Odd thing was Nohlman was saying how you all should get behind the team last week. Bit of a weird one he is.

You cannot ban someone for being a pessimist. You can ban them for being a tool. Im still very unsure of us this year, and I agree that lsoing nani could be a huge blow. Our form is not exactly great atm as it is.

    No guys

I have stated through out we could win the league even if we lost both games against pool and chelsea. However, this was the view that Nani would still be fit. Now if he is out for a long period of time I actually think it could ruin our season because he has been our best player this season and that is not even a over statement.

I know Manchester United is traditionally a great team with so many different talents who can take over from one an other. But this is not the case anymore. We lack creativity and flair and one only needs to go back to those 3 games he missed.

    Nohlam is a tool.

"Without Nani we are doomed", "Nani is all there is". <wah>

There is everything still to play for. Yes Man Utd have been awful at times this season especially away from home. Of course the Midfield is a joke at times and badly needs overhauled this summer (really looking forward to that). But we are top of the league by 3 points with a slightly better goal difference which could prove significant at the end. We are also still in the FA Cup still and the Champions league. Our main rival i.e. Arsenal; it could be argued are slightly demoralised by defeats by Birmingham and Barcelona and Utd needing to bounce back quickly could take advantage of this on Saturday.

No reason for defeatism just yet. Don't listen to Nolhman.

I've felt all season that it would be very difficult for us to win the league. In fact, I expected Chelsea to stroll it and they really should have done in truth. It has been clear for some time that our midfield does not have the ability to cope when opponents raise the tempo and get "in our faces." Looking at our remaining fixtures, I'm still not overly confident and it is entirely possible that we could fail to collect the 3 points in any of our remaining away games.

Many seem to think that it is inevitable that we will spend in the summer to address the midfield weaknesses. The dishing out of new contracts to the current incumbents of those shirts in midfield make this seem very doubtful to me. We were lacking in midfield last year and didn't address it in the summer. If the same players are all still there next season, that is unlikely to change imo.

Merry I hear your point about the midfield and tbh that is my nightmare scenario. But Scholes is bound to retire and I'd be gobsmacked if Cleverly and Pogba didn't feature next season. In addition SAF admitted he all but signed a midfielder during the transfer window but the other team decided not now but he expects there to be movement this summer.

You can add Nani to the following list:
    Ince/Kanchelskis
    Cantona
    Keane
    Beckham
    Van Nistelrooy

What's the common denominator? They're all players whose absence was supposed to finish United.

Bingo I'm sure if Nolhman had been around when SAF sold on Ince etc and replaced them with Beckham etc he would have flipped his lid.

From what I understand, nolhwoman would've been about 2 years old when that happened. He probably threw a huge tantrum, refusing to eat his dinner and throwing his toys around the room when he heard Fergie was trusting Scholes, Beckham etc. I imagine he threw the same sort of tantrum when Nani got done by Carragher.

Not sure why people thought the sale of Vn would finish us tbh, he lost his place about 6 months before he left. As for beckham, well as good as he was, never a world beater.
