Nasri said he wasn't going to sign unless Arsenal showed some ambition ... so we spend circa £12m on a 17 year old who has never played Premier League football. WTF ! Now I may not have a degree in Economics like Le Prof, but it strikes me as utter stupidity to say you would rather keep Nasri this season and let him go on a free to whoever he wants to go to than sell him now to your rivals for £20m. I do not see the logic in this choice of events, it seems bizarre to me. Sell the man and use the money to buy a player(s) who actually want to play for the club. Is this not a more logical idea ???
I think Wenger should just buy every decent Cheap Player for the hell of it: Matthew Upson, Craig Bellamy, Joey Barton, Scott Parker. The above would cost a combined total of £15m. I don't see why not.
