With a gigantic income of £3.26m - the biggest of all the leagues - the premiership should be the best highest quality league in the world. Not only in terms of competiveness or excitement but also in terms of the quality of the football being played by all teams in the league. Why isn't this happening? Are premiership players overpaid for what they are and how they play? Are the managers not up scratch? http://www.theguardian.com/football/2015/jun/04/premier-league-tv-income-la-liga-deloitte
Why would a player want to come and play in England other than UTD or Arsenal, there is no attraction for them. and ISIS and Commie Putins fault
I blame SISU Tbh the only clubs to achieve anything of note in Europe outside the PL in the past decade are Barca, Bayern, Inter, Milan and Real. Who were all pretty much securely in the top ten for revenue at the time that they did it. So it's not like we are being shown up by the poor clubs in Europe - clubs like Barca, Bayern and Real benefit from being the richest in their respective leagues by a long way. It makes it much easier to concentrate on Europe if you know you aren't going to face any real challenge in the league - look at how **** Liverpool and Chelsea did in the league when they concentrated on winning the CL vs how easy it was for the other three to stay in the top two or three of their respective leagues whilst winning the CL.
That half wit has a lot to answer for... Would you say that a football match between spurs and City is equal in quality as a match between Sevilla and athletico for example? Are most matches in the premiership of high quality ? I don't mean just excitement or competitiveness. The top 10 premiership clubs now are in the top 20 European clubs in terms of income and value. So there should be an expectation that the premiership would dominate European competitions. If not to win them, at least to be in the quarters..
