Most people outside North London realised Wenger was done winning trophies after 2007/08. That was the biggest collapse seen by any team over a 3-4 week period. Wenger will get them top four every year mind because he's still very experienced but this is a league that doesn't boast many top class managers whereas a few years ago that wasn't the case.
I think he's got spiders in his pockets. His "philosophy " of not spending big no longer works when City, Chelsea etc are building by buying players ready to rock and roll, not just those who will come good in 3 years. Is it really that hard to understand that City are the only team with the title in their own hands? Unless we claw back a ridiculous goal difference deficit, we can win all 9 remaining games and still not win the title. That is why Jose says City are favourites. Clearly he is just trying to put the pressure on them and we are probably favourites for now. But we wont be if City win those games.
