Arsène Wenger admitted Arsenal's title chances are receding after a 1-0 defeat at Stoke City that he described as worrying.

"It is not a slight worry, it is a big worry for us to lose a game like that," the Arsenal manager said. "I was not happy with the performance and the result was a massive setback for us."

Why is he so negative? Four points off the top is nothing. Beat Chelsea and City and back to top dog again

Perhaps Arsene realizes now, what Alex realized almost an year ago.

The same reason why Walcott was negative on SKY.

    Tottenham (A)
    Chelsea (A)
    Man City (H)
    Everton (A)

1 win from 4 away games in 2014 thus far and laughable home record against the big sides. Arsenal needed to go into March with some leverage over the rest. They'll finish 4th IMO.

Most people outside North London realised Wenger was done winning trophies after 2007/08. That was the biggest collapse seen by any team over a 3-4 week period. Wenger will get them top four every year mind because he's still very experienced but this is a league that doesn't boast many top class managers whereas a few years ago that wasn't the case.

I think he's got spiders in his pockets. His "philosophy " of not spending big no longer works when City, Chelsea etc are building by buying players ready to rock and roll, not just those who will come good in 3 years.
Arsene and /or his Club are as tight as a fishes arse, watertight. They wouldn't shout if a shark bit them.

I think probably he was just pissed offwiththeteam after an average performance. You lot must be bored to read so much into his comments lol

Doesn't mourinho keep you all entertained enough with his total nonsense? Rofl, he'd prefer to be in cities position 9 points off the lead, course you would Jose.. Lol

Would you rather have your destiny in your own hands or someone else's? Do you even know who the 3 teams City have to play in those 3 games? All easily winnable.

Not everyone bottles it like Arsenal when the pressure is on.

P.s. City losing to Wigan yesterday not a bottle job then? Think before you type!

Is it really that hard to understand that City are the only team with the title in their own hands? Unless we claw back a ridiculous goal difference deficit, we can win all 9 remaining games and still not win the title. That is why Jose says City are favourites. Clearly he is just trying to put the pressure on them and we are probably favourites for now. But we wont be if City win those games.

As a chelsea fan I don't care if City bottle it. Think before you type <laugh><laugh><laugh>

City's games in hand are Vill and Sunderland at home and ManU away. 9 points easily enough. That is why they are still favourites numb nuts.

You implied those games where easy for city because they don't bottle it so I pointed out there most recent game where they bottled it. So stop getting so happy with yourself lol

And If you believe your second line, oh dear. Chelsea are the obvious current favourites. Points on the board are better than games in hand.

Well the one thing we can all agree on is that Arsenal aren't a threat to the title <ok>

Good luck in the FA Cup, if you win it you'll be on a par with Wigan <wizard>

If we beat Wigan, who beat City, who beat Chelsea, that must put us three levels above Chelsea <ok>

Maybe you should organize a parade to go along with your top 4 trophy.

Since when is a game against us an easy game, i hope City turn up at Old Trafford and underrestimate us, and play Demechiles as well.
