Serious question, i don't get it why some of our fans feel the need to support them, they didn't support us this time last year when we beat Schalke to go through to the champions league final and when we lost that they laughed at us like the most of the ABU'S contigenient, i will laugh so hard tonight when that little club lose to Barcelona. i hope Barcelona thrash them 9-0.
Yeah but Abus like it when we lost because they are jealous of our success. Unlike some of them I'm not bitter, its nice to see an English team still in the competition.
Because Man United is a English club and most Man United fans are English and Chelsea are English and most people would rather see a England team in the final than a Spanish team..... Let me ask you a question.... Your welsh, Swansea are in the PL like Chelsea, Would you support Barcelona over one of your countrys own?
Apart from when they play Chelsea, of course. United fans very gracious in Moscow after beat us, will always remember that (unlike crowing scouse scum).
Agreed, plus I've gone off Barca quite alot recently. Their poor sportsmanship really lets them down. I don't mind seeing them getting knocked down a peg or two.
Usually I do support English teams in Europe (Except liverpool) but.... Chelsea are a joke, sacking another damn manager. Wow! Roberto is doing well you say? so does every fu***** manager when they first come in. The only time Chelsea players pull their fingers out is after getting a manager sacked. FFS just stop the Mancini act. I'll be sick soon... Chelsea have a good chance tonight. I think if they can score (not too early!!) with a bit of luck they'll knock the spaniards out. I watched the game against Real last weekend. They were outwitted by Mourinho who got his tactics absolutely spot on. They had their usual 72% possession (BTW I have never given in to this idea that possession means you dominate the opposition) but then Real let them have their 72%. The Real's 28% was far more dangerous. Barcelona look tired and jaded. Perfect timing for Chelsea. Don't like Chelsea but would prefer them to beat Barca (may be something to do with the distance between us and them in the league).
Got no issue whatsoever with Chelsea, or their fans. I hope they hammer Barca, unlikely I know so a scrappy win will suffice. They existed before the money and to me have always been a sound club. This applies to City too by the way, if they got to a final i would hope they win. It's not out of some Englishness, it's because i don't have a problem with them. I don't buy into this bullshit that Barca somehow represent all that is good in football. They don't, they're no more worthy than bloody Grimsby as far as I care. Two clubs who I hope would lose are Liverpool because I ****ing loathe them and Arsenal because they and their fans are hypocrites and the longer they go without a trophy after they stole their last one the better it will be. ****s.
Good to see some real fans on here . I dislike United in a competitive way (when we play them and in the PL) but if it's them in the Final of a European competition I'd prefer them to win, just like I did at Wembley. Not that a bitter taff would understand mind you....
Im hoping Chelsea does beat Barca today, i want to media to know that they can be beaten, i had enough of the media going on about them each day like they are unbeatable and Chelsea are the only english team left in Europe, i hope they win the champions league to make england proud,people say our league are no longer a force in Europa and its spanish team taking over Europe but hoepfully Chelsea proves them wrong and still show everyone that premier league is still a force.
