We had a week and a half to prepare for Everton, whilst our opposition played Man City, then in the FA Cup and only had a couple of days rest before playing us! Yet we looked like the team that had played 7 games over the last 7 days!
I think that’s equally the worst we've played this season along with the games we lost to Man City and Crystal Palace. Don’t get me wrong I in no way expect to win games against these teams easily, but the manner in which we play is embarrassing!

If I owned the club and I witnessed that game, he would be gone by now. I suppose they will give him WBA to redeem himself, but I see anything but a win in that game as failure! I don't care if we havent got any defenders, that McClarens problem and he had the opportunity to address it, its not something he can use as an excuse.

Some of the players really need to have a look at themselves too. Awful performances from Perez, Wijnaldum, Sissoko, DUMMETT!

    Who do we get in?

Mourinho, would obviously be my first choice (deluded I know) but if we dont try who is to know. I would offer him a 4 month contract and if the TV money is so important I'd offer him £2 Mill for the 4 months and an extra £5m bonus if he keeps us up! Just throw money at him and mention Sir Bobby Robson a few times!

    available free managers

David Moyes? Brendan Rodgers? Harry Redknapp, Nigel Pearson, Rudi Garcia, Benitez, Gary Monk, Tim Sherwood, Roberto Di Matteo, Clarence Seedorf.

Something needs to be done before its too late, have they not learnt from last year?

The players ultimately take responsibility for crap performances, but when you have a complete tit manager setting up the team the way he did you are asking for it. Perez as a lone front man against Everton's defence? Really? I see that McClaren has come out and said the result was 'harsh.' Are you kidding me? If anything, the scoreline was harsh on Everton. They hit the bar three times, and if it hadn't been for Elliott the scoreline would have been embarrassing. The guy simply out of his depth. He is a **** manager and he is going to get us relegated.

I think after spending the money we have, the noose is dangling this time. Pardew had an 8 year contract and the cost of terminating that was stopping him getting the boot. This time, McClaren can be sacked for peanuts. The game is up Steve. Go now.

If he was ever gonna be sacked it was before 1st Jan. He has gone to Ashley and said, "these are not my players, let me bring players i want and we will be ok" All he has done is given Ashley the noose with which to hang him with. But its too late now, nobody will come to us now, its too late I fear to attract a half decent manager. The players are shot mentally, a new manager with new ideas and tactics would just blow their tiny minds to bits. McClaren and these sorry bunch of footballers have to find a way out of it themselves I think. God knows how, though.!!

No change in manager/coaching staff = Relegation, simple as.

The squad is good enough for a top 10 finish, I really believe that. Defensively we are not the best, but there are so many teams with worse defences (in terms of individual ability) however they manage to organise themselves in a fasion that is hard to beat. Villa defended better with 10 men against west ham than we did last night.

Leez is right, McClaren wont upset anyone, he is a people pleaser and thats all good when your winning matches and playing well, there has to be a nasty vindictive side and if the players dont like it they can **** off.

Coming out every game saying well we were great, attitudes were tremendous, we were unlucky or the scoreline was harsh, just isnt gonna ****ing cut it.

The squad is easily capable of finishing top 10. The problem once again is the coaching/ management. Is McClaren getting the best out of this group of players? Absolutely not.

Top 10 squad? Not for me. Top 10 midfield maybe. Defence and attack are a shambles that pull down the whole.

I've been trying to understand why it's so bad, and aside from the obvious failings of Ashley's previous policy and the simply astonishing fact that Charnley remains in such a grossly elevated position, we have to turn to the manager. I get the player failings, particularly some of the attitudes, but are Danny Drinkwater and Danny Simpson really better players than Wijnaldum and Janmaat? Throughout the league the managers at other clubs have 'average' players doing well, it's too exhaustive a list to go into.....except at Newcastle. Watford have had two successive unproven managers, brought in stacks of unknown players and are 'unlucky' to not beat Chelsea, comfortably safe in the league. Leicester brought in a few unknowns and took on Ranieri - would any Toon fan have taken him? - only to find themselves top. How McClaren has delivered a team essentially called Newcastle Nil is beyond mind-boggling. He hasn't been supported by the board in the right areas, again, but everyone (bar one) knows Charnley's a fool. That said, this team should not be in the bottom three. Yet they are. We are unadaptable, unfit for a fight, and are being schooled by this guy. How he's in a job again this morning is baffling. Hand on heart, if we lose/draw against West Brom and he's STILL there, I'm done til the fcking lot of 'em sod off.

I take it we are all not that happy then?

He is making a complete arse up of this season. He has had the money, backing etc. He said himself there are no excuses. I don't really believe in sacking managers this early, I like to see them given at least 3 years. However with the outlay and whats on the horizon, the only way to survive may be to replace him. They aren't playing for him at all.

The manager is and always will be the problem for me. Let's not forget that good managers can get average players to play like world beaters. McClaren on the other hand has good players playing like average muppets. I can forgive the odd bad performance, but seriously, his tactics are absolutely shocking. You do NOT go to Goodison Park and play someone like Ayoze Perez up top by himself against defenders that are 6ft plus. You just don't. The fact he didn't change at half-time speaks volumes about what an utter useless twat he is. He needs to go. Not in 6 weeks, but now.

Charnley - He appointed McClaren and gloated about it. Charnley is a glorified tea boy in a position well above his capabilities. We had the chance in the summer to appoint a good manager for the long term. De Boer as an example. Instead, we appoint a tactical dinosaur. The warning signs about McClaren have been there for a long time. He failed to get a talented derby side promoted last season. He turned us down twice. He only came here because Derby had the good sense to sack him. His failures are numerous; Twente [second time], Wolfsburg, England, Nottingham Forest, Derby.

Basic question - where would Pardew be with this squad of players? I'd almost guarantee not in the relegation zone. Everyone hated him so I struggle to make any excuses for Steve. This is like a ****ing Carver crash at present.

As much as I hate Pardew, I have to concede that we would probably not be bottom three. We would still be ****, but would be comfortably ****.
Ashley spoke of 'making our own luck' in his interview. Well Mike, you need to step in and make heads roll.

another thing , i can understand the logic of english players and epl experience .yes

but hey its not rocket science that ... god its gonna take more than that .. its def a player attitude thing part of this prob ...look when we are at home the lazy side is not there .. because the crowd will not allow it simple as.

if we had enough points .

sissoko would rot on the bench for me .
arrons would not get near the first team
dummet would be replaced soon as
colo stripped of captainy straight away and sold at end of season

just a few of the problems at our wonderful club lol

Sissoko should have been dropped months ago.
Aarons - He's not as good as people make him out to be.
Dummett - Where do you start? ****?
    Coloccini - Dear god
