....... "Lets Talk Football Manager 2013" I always want to write "Lets not". I always imagine that young men who spend all their time in a fantasy world of games on a computer aren't just nerds but are also guaranteed to be virgins.
Agreed, have you actually played it Godders? What people want to do with their time is up to them, why should you care? Why does everyone who play that game have to be a young guy who spends all their time playing it? I play Football Manager in my spare time sometimes but I also work 9-5:30 M-F, go the pub with my colleagues and friends after work, go to the gym 3 times a week and cycle a hundred miles with the local cycling club most weekends, am I allowed to do that and play Football Manager or can do I have to abide by your ludicrous stereotype? Just looking at the amount of posts in that thread should tell you there are plenty of people who disagree with you. Gah, I'll stop there. PS - Not that it matters but I lost my virginity when I was 14.
Why make a thread to slag off another thread? Why not just ignore the original thread, and not post on it?
You know what it is like on a slow news day surely. We are now deep into the silly season. I am waiting for the return of the word association thread.
I've never understood why an adult would want to play a computer game but that's just my opinion hey ho. Im still a virgin, someone help me out! I have a day off today. Am prepared to travel. PM me.
FM is fun, but I'm crap at it. Re-loading rubbish results is pretty much the only way I can achieve success in it. I'm sorry, but I refuse to be knocked out of the FA Cup by Andover friggin' New Street! And being a virgin is as much a state of mind as a physical fact.
For the record Godders (although I don't usually frequent that thread) FM is an absolute dream. I first discovered it when I was early 30s. My mate used to play it and I thought he must be some kind of geek. Then, one weekend my wife went to Ireland with her mum and the babes and my mate sent me his copy of FM (Championship Manager in those days) to try. I started it at about 8am and couldn't get off it; I completed a season in one day and this was a slow old PC. This was about 2002. The last version I played regularly was FM05 or 06. I am now too far behind all the things it can do, but I promise you it is brilliant and addictive. Last night I just couldn't sleep and so ended up reading through the FM 2013 thread with eyes so green with envy. I wish I had the time, the ability to be playing it again now, oh and of course I'd need a lot of money as I am sure if I became addicted to it again, Mrs FLT would be communicating to me via a solicitor. Give it a go Godders.
A rock rolled down a hill would have a more exciting life than some posters on here, in fairness though FM was pretty fun once upon a time.
yeah FM 2006 was great, since then there is too much boring realism. I remember buying that game half hoping that you could control the players individually didn't matter though. Same with Rome total war great game, I doubt the next installment of it will be any where near as fun.
