They changed it for the film. In the book it was Woking. Apparently he had the idea for the book when walking around when he lived there.

The fact you asked the question I thought the answer just had to be Norwich. :emoticon-0105-wink:

Some people seem obsessed with Norwich. Not surprising as it is a hell of a good place.

The only give City Of Culture awards to cities that need something to attract visitors. Next up, Coventry...

Coventry are a long way behind Hull’s starting point & will struggle to fill Hull’s boots. Which is a shame.

The place is in a rather dilapidated state.

Unbelievable documentary on Storyville last night about the death of UN Secretary General Dag Hammerskjold in 1961. We’ll worth a watch!

Storyville is nearly always the best prog of the week on BBC4 whatever the week.

Started watching this last night by chance and in 5 mins I was hooked. Riveting stuff - and I don't mean a documentary about shipbuilding.

Watch this one if you get the chance

    or this one

Saw ‘Hurt Locker’ and totally agree with your recommendation. Will watch the ‘K2’ one which I must have missed.
