The Peruvian team I support, Alianza Lima, were playing arch rivals Universitario last night. La U scored an injury time winner, but that's besides the point. After the game one of the Alianza fans was launched 30m by a La U fan from a box at the stadium after a drunken skirmish. The lad who was only 23, died on the way to hospital. Tragic events like this remind me that there's more to life than this wonderful game.

Shocking. Used to be like that over here till they put the prices up. English game's got so much more civilised now... the youths have the decency to kill each other elsewhere.
