The more I read about Anthony Pilkington's injury and how horrific it was, the more concerned I am about whether he'll be the same player he was before it happened. As far as NCFC is concerned this is unprecidented as we have never taken a 'risk' like this before. I just hope we don't 'catch a cold' on this one, however, as always ILWT !
PL obviously feels he is worth the 'risk'. He is far more in the picture of how fit AP is than we are so I am happy for PL to take him in. Nobody ever succeeded by not taking risks
I see what you mean but you have to trust the medical team that assessed him as we signed him. Very excited to see how he goes, I imagine he'll be eased in nice and easy though, it was a bad break
Wasn't es injured when we first bought him? Got some foggy memory at the back of my mind telling me we bought one player who was injured and he turned out to be just a tad useful.
Zack W was knackered when we bought him from Millwall and came good...........Link for Karl Pilkington goals http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Wcsjn2U13Dg
David Bellend ed his short spell at Norwich because he signed from Luton while injured. Not really set Coventry alight either, from what I've seen.
Sometimes you have to buy irrespective of players injuries, its always a risk but if you don't buy them someone else will and they'll come back to haunt you.
I think the way that Huddersfield, and Lee Clark, didn't want to lose him speaks volumes! I'm sure we will have given him a thorough medical. Paul Lambert knows what he is doing OTBC
