I think that Grayson was sacked to deflect away criticsm of the way BATES is running the club as simple as that . Bates also realised that any new manager would have to make do and mend with the squad that was here already so no money would be spent .
i DO HOPE HE SIGNS WARNOCK BECAUSE I DON,T THINK THE PAIR WILL BE SPEAKING AFTER THE FIRST MONTH .ITS ABOUT TIME SOMEONE STOOD UP TO HIM AND WARNOCK WILL DO THAT ALRIGHT! If Simon had done this ,things might have been different I don,t honestly know but he was is own worst enemy when he started dalliances with staff members etc . I,m sure he will learn from this and make a very good manager perhaps at a smaller club like Blackburn for instance Anyway I wish him all the best

Leeds60, you think after a month they won't be speak. I reckon after a month, Bates will be nore more, and Warnock will get 10 years...

Colin and I get along rather well in fact. He knows which side his bread's buttered. I'm thinking of giving it to Roy Keane though. That should give us another season of "stability", then I can sack him and bring Colin in.

All part of the business plan. It's a slow arousal remember?

I think Bates had made his mind up after the Barnsley game and was waiting for another heavy defeat so he didn't get too much of a backlash after sacking him when we'd won or drawn.

An important spark seems to have been Grayson's insistence on signing Higginbotham and the 3m he forced out of Bates to get Townsend, Delph and Smith on loan as well as Pugh signed up. He actually did stand up to Bates, and that may well have been the final nail in his coffin. Let's not forget that when we were writing him off as a lapdog only a week ago.
