Wenger only has 2 years left on his contract and it's widely accepted he's unlikely to extend it. I understand Wenger's financial stance over the years and to be fair Arsenal were similarly prudent before he even arrived. But with yet another transfer window beginning with disappointment I question why Wenger doesn't go for broke? I'm not suggesting he spend over 100m and destroy our wage guidelines but surely if this is the final couple of seasons in his Arsenal legacy he'll want to end it in the right way. His reputation as a tactician, player development and acquisitions of new talent is not what it used to be and he seems the type of manager that loves the plaudits. Wenger has been obsessed with wining the league based on a youth policy and especially in this era of billionaire owners he would of received great credit for triumphing over that with an attacking style of football. Do what we've been crying out for now for several seasons...spend the extra few million (i.e. Xabi Alonso, Schwarzer, etc...) allow the wages to be given to the players we need to keep and show some balls to actually go for the title rather then limply failing yet again.
