Koscielny injured today without being tackled, jenkinson limping off with a leg strain? You would think he would have learned from signing Rosicky and Vermaelens injury last year. Does he have medical tests carried out on these players or is it his training methods that cause the injuries? Something is badly wrong somewhere.
You raise a good point. is it all down to them being injury-prone, or would you question the training methods? I listened to the match on 5Live and Graham Taylor made a point about how many small muscle-related injuries arsenal seem to get. Fair enough, if your players are getting injured because of rough tackles and broken bones then there's not really anything you can do about that, but Graham Taylor was making the point that small muscle-related injuries can be avoided, and that for Arsenal to suffer so many of these small injuries is a worry.
Its gone on for years. We have commented on the odd repeated injuries our players seem to get season after season. It does make me (us) wonder what is at the root of it.
I heard Graham Taylor talk about our injuries too. One of my pals is a very keen sportsman and he has always questioned why it is that Arsenal players pick up injuries more than most and wonder if this may be related to our training methods. Not sure what these but something surely is a factor and pertinent to us or rather our methods. Dare I even suggest that these have been during the time of Arsene Wenger. No you didn't hear that from me. It was purely an observation but with our higher proportion of young players being pressed into service, I wonder if there may be a correlation.
