The police are trying with one hand tied behind their backs without any backing from senior officers who are now totally linked politically to their masters at the Home Office, and the Justice system is a joke.
I'd hate to live in a big city, don't think I'd ever go out if I did.

 

Looking at other countries, around the world, this place is generally quite decent imo ...

The estabishment are scared of offending a certain MANMADE religion which does not want to integrate into the culture of the west. Also the left, work on the mantra the enemy of my enemy is my friend.

They never had a close link in my time other than the Met Commissioner, local forces were overseen by the local police committee made up of local councillors, which I'm sure no longer is the case.
Chief Constables had more freedom in how they ran their own force which doesn't happen now, hence my comment they are political puppets to whichever Home Secretary is in office.

 

I've noticed the bbc seem to be painting the idf in a bad light, bombing the **** out of civilians and attacking hospitals are war crimes.
