    This is not a WUM.

The city manager has it all. Without the best squad in the league, immensely rich owners, the premier league trophy.
And yet he always looks like he has lost a tender and found a pound.
He whines endlessly about not having enough players, money. He is ungracious in defeat or even when drawing. He calls his defence and goalkeeper inept at not defending THAT free kick properly.
I am amazed actually he is still there as he always gives the impression he would rather be somewhere else.

    I know what you mean.

He constantly has a poker face and seems incapable of criticising his players at all.

He reminds of Wenger sometimes. Obviously knows his game, but can be very annoying.

If he doesn't win the League then I can see City's owners getting twitchy.

Can you imagine if you criticised your boss in the national press? Would you/we get away with it?

  3. I can see them getting twitchy even if he wins the league! They have already done that and they will be wanting todo well in the Champions League now <ok>

Didn't he just sign a 6 year contract? Major pay day if he does get sacked <laugh>

    Our owners are not Abramovich
Can't see him being replaced if we don't win anything this season which is a distinct possibility,we certainly aren't good enough to win the CL and retaining the PL will be very difficult

Indeed! Although I think the ownders can afford it! Imagine if Sepp became available. Could be bidding war with Chelsea for him.

  8. Who is Sepp...?

I reckon RDM is a stop gap for Chelsea, I expect to see Guardiola in charge next season <ok>

right now i can't see city winning the league. the quality is not actually there. funny that but if you look up top they've got some players but midfield is not great bar yaya and how marriner didn't deal with kolo toure is beyond me. city have a good bacis outfit right now with hart, kompany etc but you've got to wonder about quality and the flyer they got off to last year doesn't seem to be in them this year.

For me it looks very much like a utd and chelsea battle for 1st.

yes all clubs have issue anre are only wamring up but right now we have to say its a mixed bag and in those cases utd ALWAYS are in the mix.

Mancini gets unfair stick in my opinion! Yes he is not the most flamboyant manager, but then look at all the top managers in the prem and hardly any of them could be considered that. Fergie, Wenger, Mourinho, Ancelotti, Rafa, have all benn criticised for various similar things. In lots of ways Mancini gets very little credit for his achievemnent because of the vast sums City have thrown at it, whilst Mourinho who did similar seems to be lauded.

I think if you want to be a top manager in this league, being hated by your rivals means you're doing something right. I hope Brendan is hated by our rivals. We don't want another Roy "Fergie bum boy" Hodgson.

Quite like him myself. He's polite and reasonably honest.

Agreed. The United fans already don't like Brendan, it seems he's definitely doing something right.

yeah I like him too, he is a little like Dalglish in some ways in that he shows up the 'journos' at times for their stupidity(I love this side). Kiss the press arses and they generally treat you ok, show them up for the fools they are and they make your life hell.

I like Mancini. Always seems complimentary of Liverpool and respectful. He seems to think Ferguson is a bit of a **** aswell and gets under the Surrey Mancs' noses so he's sound in my eyes.

He seems a little eccentric at times and does seem to act that the world is against him dealing him no aces.

That said...seems a likable bloke for the most part and as said above.. more respectful than Mourinho or Fergie... he lacks the prat factor many winning managers have.

I think he does an excellent task of diverting all attention away from his players. Its all about him and the crazy things he says. Can anyone remember anything else about his Friday press conference, other than he thinks we can win the league?? I think he is bob on!
