OK, after a Liverpool fan questioned my loyalty, he did inadvertently raise a good point. So i'm curious, why do Not606 Gooners support us?

I was thinking the same thing about you Kyle. Why do you support Arsenal ? Because you don't seem to derive any pleasure from it. Even beating our oldest rivals on their own patch - and you're still as miserable as ever.

The kit, the players, the manager, the stadiums, the tradition, the class, the way we play football, etc...

Local team and my dad and grandad supported them.

Plus the class of the club is above any other.

i have been a fan since about 1973 so ,......... its kind of a habit .

They have always had enough likeable players in each squad , with a good ethos .

Unlike some **** clubs who employ ****ers as players . *

I answered with a serious question about why do you support Arsenal ?

You're always moaning about them, even when we win. Anybody would think that you don't really like Arsenal at all.

My Auntie used to be David Platts solicitor. I'd write letters to him & he wrote back. Followed Arsenal since then. My first team are still Sheffield United as my boyhood club, but I follow Arsenal because of Platty.

My dad supported Palace but sometimes went to Arsenal home games and I liked Ian Wright when I was real young.

I think we finished 10th the first season I remember

Most of my Dads family are West Ham supporters but my Uncle supports Arsenal.

He was sneaky and bought me an Arsenal kit as a child.

In a time of every d*ck going supporting either Spurs, United or Liverpool I dared to be different. Also, and this is the actual reason, I was 5 and really really wanted the (then) current long-sleeved Arsenal shirt.

    Which I got. Hero.

So yeah, a proper manly reason. Thing is, if you come from an area devoid of any team and your family don't care either way then (as was my situation), as a susceptible kid it's invariably going to be something silly like that which interests you.

my uncle was a mate of Alan Skirton [they went to school together in Bath] and took me to see him play in 1965 [i was 5 years old]. after the game i was taken into the players lounge were i sat awestruck. i have loved Arsenal ever since.
at the time all my school friends were west ham so had to stand my ground until 1971 and Charlies goal - then everyone at school copied his celebration and became arsenal fans.
i have been watching them play since the 1960's, sometimes the games were shocking, sometimes i have seen utter brilliance, and i have seen some great players and many not so great. of all the managers we have had i think AW is by far the best.
bigest regret - turning down the chance to go to Liverpool match in 1989 - i didnt want to go there and listen to the scousers celebrating if we didnt win 2-0

I support Arsenal because Herbert Chapman changed the name of Gillespie Road tube station to Arsenal
