In particular at home. I remember us playing the likes of CFC and the other CFC and there would be 15000 +. Have we ever played Glasgow Rangers? What's the point of UB (BFG notwithstanding) and the Italian team at home last season? There won't be more than about 2750 there on Sat, what kind of build up is that?
QPR 3 (Venables[pen], F Clarke, Morgan) G Rangers 3 (Henderson, Smith, Watson/Hunt) Attendance 16,752 well behaved supporters. But there’s always that mindless idiot who spoils it for everyone. This one was playing. (Follow Follow) The mindless idiot they were referring to was none other than Rodney Marsh, who lashes out after a tackle with his feet and delivers a flurry of punches, and then headbutts another player who tries to intervene. The referee merely waves his finger and delivers a brief lecture, and the game carries on.
yes i was at the 68 game the strangest thing was the three hundred glasgow celtic that came down from glasgow that stood with qpr fans ,,amazingly it was peacefull the celtic fans sung pro ira songs to aggrovate the massed ranks of the glasgow rangers but the glasgow rangers fans just were in a celibratery mood and all danced around playing flutes, its a game ill never forget and of course rodney marsh has twice gone off his head ,once at a friendly game after he returned from in jury can anybody remember what team was that oh yes southend was you there stroller
I remember a programme for a friendly game where Marsh was making a comeback from injury, Ted. The cover was a picture of Rodney taken from behind him, and it just said 'Rodney's Back!' Don't remember the game, though.
I remember reading the full report from that game somewhere (maybe Bushman on Twitter?) - Marsh went nuts if I remember rightly, tried to kick off with all sorts?
I googled it and got something on qprreports about it, and also something on followfollow along the lines of “they took him off before we got our hands on him”, which was probably true, and the club club came down very hard on him and fined him fifty quid!
